A thread that was started back in 2014 that I've decided to keep going every year. What were the good/bad things to happen to your oshi(s) in 2018? The Past 4 ones.

    2017 - 2016 - 2015 - 2014

Okabe Rin? Pretty much yes. Appointed as captain, raise in popularity, becoming more prominent as AKB representation, clean sweep of senbatsu excluding SSK.

    Unfortunate year for Ikumi.
She atempted several things but got disapointing results.
Fortunatly there are some good bits such as her tap musical which seems to be well recieved.

    Kato Minami (Yes!)
    Good

    - Made the biggest jump for girls who were ranked (41 Spots) in the SSK and ranked 30th (Undergirls)
    - Became Team NIII Captain (and becoming one part of my favorite Captain Duo w/OgiYuka)
    - More Appearances on Shows, Radio, and other stuff
    - A very active person on Social Media (Twitter/Instagram)
    - Finally got a Solo Center on an NGT48 Single (Team NIII)
    - Had a big Role in Majimuri Gakuen

    Bad
    - Still didn't center an NGT48 Single.

Miyawaki Sakura (1st Half: no/2nd Half: Yes)
    Good

    - Became apart of IZONE after finish 2nd in PRODUCE48 (Even though she was really the best one)
    - Centering NO WAY MAN (AKB48's 54th Single)
    - Grew her fanbase even more after PRODUCE48

    Bad
    - Ranking 3rd in the SSK and just breaking down :(.

For sure and things will only pick up from here. It felt like she centered 2 singles this year :D Naachan also rose to 5th and is a regular rep of AKB now so that's nice.
    Nao:
I don't know..Nao maintained her spot in Senbatsu but management just really refuse to put her in AKB's singles. She hasn't even gotten her center in SKE pshh. At least Nao is releasing a mini album soon
    Jiina:
Still pretty much dead. Really upsets me that she fell and she still can't pick herself up.

Muto Tomu : Good thing she got a great comeback at SSK, too bad management don't like her after all.

Kojima Mako : Nice spotlight at Produce48 also nice shot at SSK.

Furuhata Nao : Good enough...AKB senbatsu lock is still a long way eh?

Mukaichi Mion : She got what she wanted, soukantoku title.

its been a mixed bag but I feel its come to a crossroad. Almost feels she is ready to be picked up by an external agency and (dare I say) transition out given that she is confirmed not to take up the soukantoku-ship
    - if anything, PD48 confirmed the above. But it also gave us the current evolution of Juri: hot, voluptuous, confident, solid performer and all-round very well liked
    - her going as far as she did in PD48 was a pleasant surprise for me
    - side effect of being busy: no more SR streams :(

    Sakura

    - probably gave me the biggest roller-coaster of emotions in my (short) oshi-life with how the SSK and PD48 unfolded
    - super glad she came out of her gamer closet and started streaming on YT
    - I think its onwards and upwards for her

    Nanase
    -
bias aside, would've thought this would be a breakthrough year. A lot more exposure with Bacchikoui and her SR presence now established
    - except that hasn't convinced management to select her for anything major (so far)
    - she's got ambition and the skill to match, but will it be fruitful?
    - I think she will be my roller-coaster oshi for 2019

    Maria

    - she really needs her own cooking show. Its being a delight watching her cook and produce very lovely stuff to feed the cameras
    - quite active in outside theatre-work and its one for the future as well
    - I just wonder if its not due to Hiichan going away and having to do the Tochigi jobs....would she have stayed with Eito in the near future?

    -----

PS: Watching Juri, Nanase and Maria together on Team B stage was a god-sent

PPS: Jump on the Yahagi Moeka bandwagon now boys and girls. I think we are witnessing the start of something great

could be better .... could be a lot worse ... overall good

    - SSK was of course a bit of a downer, but handled it like a pro
    - no longer a team captain, which seemed to give her more time for activities next to AKB.
    - had plenty of jobs outside of AKB" Utage, Downtown, the three penny opera etc.
    - no3b 10th anniversary was legendary! It was so good to see them together again like nothing really changed.
    - had a nice part in the 13th anniversary of the Theatre (and her debut)

    Shiichan
I think .... best year effah! woot woot!

    - ranked in the sousyenko
    - was a regular on the 'draining the pond' tv show ... which led to ...
    - got to center her first song :D

Save to say that everyone agrees 2018 was actually a terrible year for HKT48. One of the reasons is that there was only 1 single.

I discovered new Oshis (ChoWon, SeJeong, Seon-Ho, JaeHwan). It's good year for me, not sure for them. Wanna-one just ended, so sad. ChoWon gained recognition, hoping for her to debut with G-idle. SeJeong doesn't really fit Gugudan, ...

For Takamina, nothing much to say since she's only memorably active with her travel tours (?)

For Jurina, well, U know how I think about her
