I am always baffled when girls leave mere months after they get in.
What have they seen or experienced that makes them get out of it?

 

She will be focusing on her studies (her message to fans states that she "couldn't handle both school and AKB activities at the same time as well as she would've wanted to").

 

She should have asked Tomu for help

Well, after this terrible show. Im predicting Myao and Miyu to announce grad.

 

Probably some parental pressure involved with the decision.

 

Is it just me or SKE Kenkyuusei drop out at a higher rate than others? o__ó maybe it's just me...

 

I don't think so. This year was pretty unlucky with lots of graduations due to school or injuries. In general SKE is pretty normal imo. (7th Gen has 4 Grads out of 15 members with one scandal in 3.5 years, 8th Gen has 4 out of 19 in 2 years with 2? scandals and 2 grads due to school/injury)

 

Takeuchi Miyu of Team B just announced her graduation on a YouTube stream. Not hugely surprising in the wake of Produce 48. I hope she goes on to bigger and better things.

 

Yuihan, Minarun, and Ranran left now for the 9th Gens.

 

I always have the feeling that Ranran can be the next to announce graduation at any moment. I don't follow SKE closely, but I follow her on SNS and she doesn't seem to have been doing anything remarkable. She also didn't rank in the last two SSK.

 

RanRan comes from a rich family so being an idol is pretty much a hobby for her. Plus she does have golf-related jobs outside SKE.

 

She's also super dedicated to building up Team S atm, so until that's done I think she won't leave

 

I was actually thinking Minarun would leave before RanRan did.

 

And after ranking 8th I really doubt she will in the foreseeable future.

She's probably waiting to see if it translates in more chances from AKB before deciding anything.

That’s why I added the bit about chances from AKB.

If it’s all for naught and she doesn’t get much from them (a senbatsu spot in the next two singles, basically), I can see her not joining next year and graduating.

But if she gets more work, well...

 

Minarun seems to be the beneficiary of the SKE hako-oshi benevolence this year. It doesn't seem to be a particularly organic rising of her personal fandom, if she enters SSK next year the benevolence could switch to another girl.
