Yes, I totally agree, no chance of her going this year.

In fact if Keya keep progressing this year as much as they did last year then I don't see any of their members graduating (unless, god forbid, there's a scandal).

 

First graduation in 2017 that is clearly influenced by coming of age.

To think that she had the same fate as Nishimura Aika...

 

That's somehow... expected and unexpected

You know, we really should change the name of this thread tbh (to AKBG). Mostly since we mention the other groups here as well (not just AKB).

 

Then, where's the OP?

Did he/she know this thread were expanded beyond his/her original intent?

 

The first few posts are great... late 2013, people saying Takamina, Yuko, Kojiharu, Miichan would leave within the year, but maybe MaYuki might be asked to stay another two... Everyone was right about Yuko, but the rest were way off! Shows what we know I guess.

The big names have every reason to stay as long as they want/can though.

Look at Kojiharu.
She hasn't done HS for... 2 or 3 singles?
And yet she gets to be in every senbatsu and now centers one.

I can see management asking the big girls to stagger their graduations or something.
AKB can't do something like in 2013 where they held a dome concert for every big name leaving (Mariko, Sayaka, Tomochin), so they have to scale back.

 

I'd put my bets on Takita Kayoko and Shimoguchi Hinana, as neither of them hadn't done much work at all (although Kayoyon gave a conference about idols in an university weeks ago, I think?) But still...even if she graduates, she loves idols so much that I can imagine her taking a solo route, use SHOWROOM for promotions, etc.

Draft members are barely used in AKB (except for Sayaya, Moekyun in some UG songs and recently Satopii and Hiwatan), but Kirara recently announced graduation and two years ago, Nishi left...and with the 16th generation receiving a lot of attention from management, getting chances will be way harder.

As potential graduations from seniors, I'd say Chiichan. She is soon to be the eldest member and hadn't participated in two Elections in a row, only ranked in one (2012) and doesn't have much outside jobs. She also had health issues time ago, is she fully recovered?

Now Shiichan is the oldest member of AKB48 and last in her generation.

We need to keep a really sharp eye on the following members:

• Tanabe Miku
• Oya Masana
• Wada Aina

 

No, Yukirin is older than shiichan. Yukirin was born in July 1991, and Shiichan in December 1991. So the oldest member is Yukirin.

It's obvious Yukirin graduation announcement will be withheld by mgmt as long as they can.
So yeah, Shiichan in the watchlist for quicker grad possibility.

 

I can see Shiichan staying longer than Yukirin tbh.
If she stayed so long without getting anything, imagine now that she's getting in senbatsu every now and then?

Also, if we ever see a double graduation (like W in Morning Musume), I bet it's MaYuki's. And I can see that happening next summer.
