Yamamoto Mao (Maopani) / Draft 1st Generation

Team B's Sayaya, or Team K's two draft kiddos Moekyun and Hinata. These are all very good performers. And Moekyun has been receiving a little push outside of the theater. She has gotten to be on a couple of eps AKBingo, with the MCs getting her involved directly.

I will be bluntly honest. I have not seen this growth you folks are talking about in Maopani. But then again, I am way behind on shows and LODs. So maybe this is something new that I have missed so far. I will look for it though.

Maopani is given a chance now that I hope she can capitalize on. I would like to see her show her worth. Cause there are three girls I know I would have liked to see in this senbatsu over her.

B Draftie Sayaya has been the first among them to perform a full stage even way back on B's old waiting stage.
She's by far the most improved performer among the Drafties.
Team A Kayoyon is another solid performer, she's versatile and does great in pretty much all kinds of concepts.

Contrary to them A Renarin and B Aerin still are kinda clumsy performance-wise.
Same for N's Riripon her debut was horrid but N3 is one of the more difficult stages, B's Pajadora or H's Seishun got nothing on that setlist.

The one who has improved the most is M's Sararan imo. She started off pretty dorky but her Seifuku no Resistance became great lately.

Among all Drafties Mao is by no means the best but she's definitely not the worst either how some HKT fans portraying her.

is like a hobby now.

and she is really improving (of course everyone is improving) but she is now recognized be people too.
the cheering for her on the mc's is much more louder, and everyone on the theatre knows that she is doing her best.

Of course nobody can become like aoitan, or iichan and even hazuki on dancing or sing like naopon, but shes trying

and this is the fun of the hkt for me =D

 

I don't know about the other draftees, but I too think Mao is improving her dance. This might not be easy to notice because her position is always in the back and she doesn't get much screen time though.

 

Honestly I have watched almost all the LOD with Mao in and even if I have to agree that her dancing is quite improved from her debut and she is kinda cute at time... her singing remains bad and her talking is very little so hard to judge...

I haven't realized after 9(?) months from her selection what she brings to HKT since the whole point of the Draft was to include a girl that add something that was missing from a team (or at least I think it was)

To me her senbatsu inclusion is a questionable decision but being Sasshi protegee.... Shouganai

 

I'm glad that Maopani got in HKT's 4th single Senbatsu ^^
I can see that she's improving little by little...

Well, that also marked the first draft-picked member to be in the Senbatsu of her group..

 

Yay. Mao got picked for the next round in the young magazine gravure thing.

Glad because she answered that questionaire thing for it terribly.

 

I don't think Maopani adds anything to Team H, but lately I'm beginning to like her individually and in the HKT tour. She's kinda cute

Ok sorry, she looks like a Disney princess came to life and put on an adorable sparkly football Jersey

I honestly cannot think of any particular reason why I suddenly came to like her so much but I hope she keeps it up

I just seen episode 187 of No Odekkake w/ Mao and there is a Maopani fan that the group keeps running into throughout the episode. He keeps saying how he visits Mao at every handshake

I believe she's done TV related golf things with Suzuran and maybe Rara too before.

She's for sure better than Suzuran.
