    Hello fellow Sayaka fans! xxx

I've decided to start a new personal project, and that is Sayaka's fan letter translation project!

Have you ever wanted to write a fan letter to Sayaka, but then gave up on it because you couldn’t speak Japanese? Or perhaps cause you felt like your Japanese wasn’t good enough?
Or perhaps you’re just not very good at expressing yourself but need help. Whatever your reason may be, that’s why I’m here!

The premise is fairly simple. All you have to do is write your fan letter to Sayaka in English, and I’ll help you translate it into Japanese! All for free!

You can find out more details in the spoiler below:

My Japanese isn’t 100% perfect, but I have studied it for close to 6 years now, and also majored in Translation Studies during my postgraduate studies. I was also responsible in being the project manager of Sayaka’s 22nd Birthday International Fan Project in 2015 entitled 22 & Thankful. For that project, I also was one of the main translators where I translated a good bulk of the messages for fans from English into Japanese. You can find out more about that project here

Also, since I’m Malaysian, I will also consider messages written in Malay/Indonesian since I understand it anyway. But preferably English!

Unfortunately, I can’t commit to doing another birthday project, but through these fan letter translations, I hope I would be able to connect international fans more to Sayaka! Won’t it be great if Sayaka could start receiving more and more fan letters from international fans?? I also sent many letters to Sayaka myself since 2013, so if you have any requests or questions on the sort of content I wrote, where I sent it to etc, feel free to message me here or my Twitter @RainbowRose93

Or if you have neither of the above but happen to see this post, you can also email me at sy.international48@gmail.com

You could just write a simple fan letter or maybe even send a postcard to Sayaka of the town you live in, and tell Sayaka a little about it! As Sayaka has been working a lot, she hasn’t had that much opportunity to travel to that many countries. And even if she did, it was mostly for work.

That’s just an idea! But totally be creative and let your ideas run wild! I’ll be waiting to hear from you!

Wanna try writing Sayaka a fan letter today? XD

@Suii Okay! I'll be waiting for your letter then! XD

Btw since I'm intending on making this a long-term personal project (hopefully), I have started a thread for it on Forum Projects
    Here: http://stage48.net/forum/index.php?threads/yamamoto-sayaka-fan-letter-translation-project.21570/

So, if anyone has any questions or enquiries etc, you can all bring it up there!

On another note, recently I was on a podcast my friend, Brita started, on idols where she invites idol fans to talk about their oshimen on a series entitled Oshimen Time. For the latest episode aka Episode 4, she invited me to talk about Sayaka.

I talk about Sayaka herself, NMB48, what it's like meeting her, loving and supporting the same oshimen for 7 years, some of the ways you can feel connected to and show support for mainstream idols, and more! If you're interested, do check it out! xxx

    And here's a URL to Brita's idol blog: https://yestiger.wordpress.com/

It has content on both mainstream and underground idols, so it's pretty cool!

She went to see Suga Shikao (who wrote and composed 'Melody' on the Rainbow album) at the Tokyo performance of his current Japan tour. Pictured with Suga and some girls from Little Glee Monster and Babyraids Japan.

Mentioning this because I finally got the Identity live tour DVD and Kassai was my favorite performance. Abe Mao (who wrote and composed 'Kassai' on the Identity album) has a new album of her own coming out on the 7th, with 'Kassai' as track 8 (around 2:30).

Sayanee's and Abe Mao's interview together with natalie.mu last year.

Woah! You're so awesome times a million!:worthy: I don't even know what I would say to her, but i will take some time to think. Thanks so much!
Also nice podcast. It was interesting to listen to and I learned a few things - I didn't even know she checks twitter like that. She truly is dedicated! "Who the HECK is this girl!?"[hehe] Honestly I can relate to this because she wasn't one of the first girls in 48group I took notice of. But I remember once I saw the video of her solo live at the 2014 summer festival I thought she was a diamond in the rough, and I only focused on her from then on.

So Sayanee's footprint has been memorialized at Noevir Stadium Kobe. There was an unveiling ceremony on Saturday, but she didn't attend for some reason.

She was on the cover of Tokyo Walker Plus magazine again.

Preview/behind the scenes of Utage!. Sayanee's part is around 20mins 15s. She will challenge a song called "Itsuka" (Someday) by folk duo 'Yuzu'.

Some Sayanee and Yuihan parts of the show about high school baseball that they were on together.

Also Sayanee will be on KanJAM on Sunday evening on an episode about Jpop and how foreigners perceive it.

She hasn't said anything so far. But yeah you're right, 99% sure she won't enter. But her hairstylist tweeted this last week, I guess he wants to enter it in her place LOL:lol:

What is making everyone so certain that she won't enter SSK this year? Has she said she didn't want to enter anymore?
I don't follow Sayanee very much, but she's probably my 48G ni-oshi, so I started watching this thread yesterday.

She's not the type to go back on her word.

Last year was probably THE most difficult, and she still said no.

Did she state some reason for not entering?
Not that she needed to, just out of curiosity.

Here's a translation (kindly translated by @convenience93) of her mobame back when she said she wasn't going to participate:

"In regards to the elections, I've also talked about it on Twitter, but that 140 character limit can be quite exquisite. Haha.

I think I could only convey about a portion of what I wanted everyone to know.
It definitely wasn't enough for me to convey everything else in entirety.

As there wasn't room for me to divulge a whole lot, it ended up being concise for good or for bad.

The general elections is where I had confronted with my weak self over and over again.
It was also where I was constantly encouraged by love.
I also know that through the elections, my bond with everyone who has been supporting me would deepen each time.

Honestly, I think that the decision to withdraw from the elections requires more courage than actually participating in it.

What if because of that I end up being left on my own?
What if I am forced to come to a stop?

Those were the kinds of insecurities I had.

If I had indeed ran for the elections, I may have been considered a finished story.

However, I didn't want to give in to that.

I've come to think that the elections is no longer something for me to rely on or cling onto.

I wanted to prove the very meaning of my existence.

Perhaps this is me doing things at my own convenience.
Perhaps this may be selfish of me.

But I will definitely not make anyone feel disappointed.
I will make sure everyone's thoughts and feelings don't go to waste.

Although I may be on a different path from everyone else, I'll still continue running my own race.

So please if you'll kindly not forget about me, just that would mean the world to me."

So Sayanee will be co-MC on a baseball show on Saturday about the Hanshin Tigers' manager and star players. Seems like this is the sort of MC work AKBingo hinted at, I wonder how far it will go. Seems like she's continuing firmly with her love of baseball, since she has also had a little interview segment on toravan twice already, and she was on a show about Japan's high school baseball championship last week (and she narrated a Hokkaido show about it a few months ago too). But of course who knows what is down the road, I'm still hoping for something music related. But either way, I'm glad it is to do with things she enjoys and loves.

That translation I did was from 2017 btw just to avoid any confusion xD

She already gave her reasoning last year, so yeah I don't think she needs to again this year.
Plus, even besides that, she had already declared herself 2 years ago in 2016 that for good or for bad, that was going to be her last SSK.
Hence, that's what we mean by her not going against her own word cause she's not the type to do so.
