OOT but why do people scream "EEE" the loudest when the girls say "... sotsugyoushimasu".

Like in Sayanee's case, isn't it obvious that she's gonna graduate the moment she said "koko de minnasan ni go houkoku ga arimasu",

or after she said "Watashi, Yamamoto Sayaka wa..."

I mean, do the fans expect anything else besides "sotsugyoushimasu" lol

    It's not about being surprised.
Japanese use the "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee" a lot.
Someone could say it's raining while they're opening their umbrella and they'd say it.

Few graduation announcements have been actually surprising.
I think Acchan was obviously the most, with Ricchan coming in a close second.

I have just grown to love Sayanee and now she's graduating...
But I'm sure she would have a great career ahead and I would continue to support her!

    Yes.

Well there has been members that have trolled like that before ;)

But yeah, of course people expect her to graduate since a long time but that doesn't mean they expect her to do it right there and then.

It was about time honestly... still staying on the declining 48 brand was unuseful for a name like her at this point.

Congrats Sayanee... Finally, she can fly high now. Ofcourse she wanna be an solo-singer + composer, but I hope she still be the ambassador for Mizuno Badminton.

Always sad, even if I thought it would be better for her to graduate for like two years now.

Here's hope she can be successful Solo. If not her, who else in 48g? (As a singer)

God I find people like you annoying (people that are still here even though their oshi has graduated, so they start to bash the group that their oshi was once apart).

It's really coming. I thought she will announce her graduation at upcoming 8th Anniversary tho, but guess that she will have her graduation concert on 8th Anniversary /sobs.

Still, congratulations for your graduation. お疲れでした、彩さん!

Now, the upcoming "crisis" is not only for NMB, but also for 48G in general. She is the current #1 in HS sales, and with her departure, along with Jurina's hiatus and Sakura's possibility as PD48's final line up, it will be a big blow for 48G's HS.

I feel like she had been struggling over this decision for quite a while, especially when you read the lyrics to Riku no Sakana
Fish on land (Riku no sakana)
    Song: Yamamoto Sayaka
    Lyrics: Yamamoto Sayaka, Ishiwatari Junji

When I realized that I there is only one place
    where I can breathe
It was as though I understood why I will one day die
    and I became unreasonably afraid

If I was to leave this place
Would I no longer be me?

I want to live life in any place
Even if someone was to laugh and say it's absurd
If I don't leap out of this world
I'll forever be just a fish

I peek out with just my face,
quickly pull back, and repeat over and over
I've only got a hunch, but I have understood,
that it's not a world of only frightening things

For how long must I keep swimming,
    to learn how to walk?

Even though I can see it right there,
I cannot yet take that step
The more time that aimlessly passes, the stronger the wish in my heart grows

Why, although I'm in the water,
am I in this much pain?

Even though I can see it right there,
I cannot yet take that step
As time aimlessly passes, the wish in my heart grows stronger

I want to live life in any place
Even if someone was to laugh and say it's absurd
If I were to give up and die,
I'll leap out of this sea, use up all my strength to die
Or else I will be just a fish

But I guess she will be 'Wild & Free' soon lol.

And she said she wants to continue singing and doing music for everyone so I'm happy she can now fully focus on her personal dream. It must hurt for the NMB girls and other 48G girls too but I'm sure they would understand her feelings.

I suppose she could keep working with Team SY, they are kinda like her makeshift band lol.

Even if they want to express their surprise in the middle of the announcement they want to listen. Whatsmore, everyone around them does too. It would be rude to shout.
But more than that, even if they're not surprised they want to sound shocked. Kojiharu got mad when no one EEEEH'd for her announcement.
They want to express that and let the girl hear how they feel.

It's like when people EEEH at the "this next song will be our last" at concerts. 1, we know there will be an encore, 2, we knew the concert will end eventually, 3, the EEEHs happen even at the end of really long concerts.
People just want the idols to hear their feelings. "I didn't want you to leave, ever!" "I didn't want this concert to ever end!"

I'm a bit laughing at myself right now 'cause I just became a fan of Sayanee a few months ago.

My journey to the 48 group started with a collab of Kobasolo and Takeuchi Miyu (I liked some keyaki songs prior to this), got interested in her and found out she is from akb then checked out her channel and the first cover I clicked was 365 Nichi no Kami Hikouki and I really liked the song so I searched the MV of it and there I saw Yamamoto Sayaka. Its like Miyu invited me to come inside a theatre/cafe/club and introduce me to Sayanee. Right now I'm starting from the beginning of AKB48, watching old akbingo episodes and checking their songs/MV's but still not a fan of cute songs which is the main reason I ignored akb for years.

Well its not like she's retiring from the entertainment industry and we mostly likely will see her again in different shows.

Well, another case of 'it had to happen' scenarios because of age. Unfortunate to hear Sayanee graduating, at a time when NMB48 has been struggling recently.

To me, Sayanee is NMB48's key asset, and NMB48 isn't the same without her.

We'll just have to wish her well into the future and we look forward to her future works! But still, I can't imagine how NMB48 is going to look like, especially when NMB48 hasn't been keeping up with the pace of the rest of the AKB48G family...

I found out about the announcement on of of Nagisa's twitter posts.

I'm a little sad, a little surprised, but I'm happy for Sayaka. I'll be looking forward to what her solo career brings.
