You know you are an AKB wota when....

-the first thing you think of in the morning when you wake up is AKB.
-when you show your sister about fifteen AKB videos every weekend to get her into the fandom.
-when you make your friend listen to AKB songs on the bus.
-when you spend hours on AKB-related forums/websites and watching AKB videos instead of doing homework
-when you're sitting in class and watching a historical documentary while trying to decide how the class would react if an AKB video starts playing on the projector instead
-when all you've been listening to lately is AKB
-when you talk to yourself about how much you love your oshi Takamina
-when you suddenly find yourself dancing a lot more lately because you've been watching too many AKB videos

 

I blast AKB48 songs while driving my car down the road, especially Heavy Rotation. Also that moment when your in arch studio and you put up a large Give Me Five! poster above your desk and the token Japanese studiomate comes up and says "ahh I see, your a WOTA" [party] My studiomate is a fan of Perfume though... so close

 

... you know overall about AKB
... you watching AKB's videos at anytimes, anyplaces
... you listening AKB's music at anytimes, anyplaces
... you never missed AKB's live streaming

 

you know more than 25 names of AKB48 member when others people got difficulty to remember the name of Girls generation

 

...When you spend countless hours of your life hyper-analyzing their song lyrics...

Thinking about it a little further, being a real fan as a overseas fandom would be to learn japanese very seriously to follow more diligently the girls we are admiring.

I always thought to finish my Japanese lesson, but i never was serious about it, and now i regret.
I plan to go to japan to end it, a real goal i'm fixing.

When a majority of international music you own is AKB.

You have almost all the 48 members blogs bookmarked, you added almost all of the Google + profiles, and you are following all the 48 members on Twitter. The first thing you do when going on to your computer is checking news about AKB. You can't go a day with out logging into a forum site about the 48 groups, such as this one, logging into one of the sites mentioned above, or another news site to check out the latest news on the 48 groups. You find yourself singing along to songs, especially Heavy Rotation.

lol similar plight over here. Also you know your an AKB48 wota when this election becomes as important as a political election. after the 2012 election my faith in American elections went out the window, I hold more faith with the AKB48 election

 

When you turn off your computer, because you have been on it too long looking at AKB news, just to get on your phone about a minute later to check AKB news.

Yeah I do get that when I explain the election to studiomates at my university, then I rant about America's idols and musicians versus AKB48 and I give up on explaining it.

 

I explained it to my friend the other day. He didn't have any problem believing me probably because I sometimes discuss some of the crazier things that happen with AKB to him (like scandals, graduations, the "love ban", etc.) and even if he's not into the group, he can digest the information. I think he did ask if Aimi Eguchi was running though. When I was explaining Miichan's situation and told him she was an "original member" he even commented asking "well, if she's been there that long anyway why hasn't she graduated?". It's not the same as having an actual fan to talk to but he's smart and sufficient.

 

You know you're an AKB wota when...

-You're supposed to be heading off to bed but you're still on stage48.
-You've been downloading their PVs with subtitles and have a separate folder labeled AKB with over 100 videos in less than five months.
-When you spend time watching AKB videos instead of doing your homework.
-When you dream about AKB (Yuko) two nights in a row (and she's not even my oshi)
-When you dance to Temodemo no Namida to get re-energized because you've been yawning too much over reading your history textbook.
-When your persona on Firefox is of Takamina, your oshi.
-When you torture your sister with AKB videos every Friday.
-When the first thing you think of in the morning is AKB.
-When you convert videos to MPEG so you can watch them on your TV.
-When you convert videos so they can be played on your ipod touch.
-When you have been listening to nothing but AKB for the past three months.
-When you dance to AKB songs in your bedroom.

 

You know you are an AKB48 wota when...

...you put "AKB" as your initials whenever you get a high score in an arcade video game (e.g. GameWorks, D&B on, say, Daytona USA or OutRun) and they prompt you to type in your initials
