[MUSICAL] AKB Musical Infinity

Simple storyflow:

*MEGA SPOILERS*

Sayaka and Takamina were obviously the best choices for the roles from AKB48 and they answered expectations well. Even easily exceeded them. Sayaka was so. so. well, she was MADE for the role. And I won't be suprised because reading the pamphlet HiroiOoji is MEGA impressed by Sayaka when he visited the theater to pick girls for the musical. Sayaka did the role justice. Takamina really fitted the image of Maria as well and I've never sen such a girly and sweet side of her, but there was no awkwardness. The both of them had really good chemistry and it was really comfortable to watch them.

On to the other girls, I cannot express enough how stumped I was that Haa-chan was SO SO SHAFTED. I believe she didn't even have a significant enough solo part. Urgh. But you could tell she easily stood out in group songs when she was allowed to sing.

Two girls I thought were especially outstanding were Iwasa and Nakayan. Initially, I was wondering why she got such a big part but watching her, I am now convinced. She was evidently one of the best singer amongst the side cast. I cannot stand how overly exaggerated her moves are in theater performances but on the musical stage, I suppose on the opposite, it suits well and she has really good projection of voice.

Nakayan should/would definitely do well in her dream occupation. She has the PERFECT seiyuu voice and I love how adorable yet strong she is at the same time.

Well, that's about all I can think of at the moment.
There are other thoughts about it but they tend to be on the downsides which I will avoid posting here, will do so on my personal blog when I feel like it XD

Since you've watched it, do you think the songs are well chosen ?

The story seems to be very interesting, I was rather passionated while reading it.
Now I'm just dying to see this :awesome:

To be frank, some could have been better.
But it wasn't the CHOICE of the song that was the issue.
I had the most issue with the way they tried to weave the songs in.
Some moments were plain awkward and poorly done.

I also went to first takamina sayaka show on 31st
so here are some thoughts:
I must agree with rui some songs where really just pushed in.....
highlights: All Sayaka solos....just awesome, nakinagara hohoende-infinity-nakinagara hohoende
part....really nice.
Wasamin: wow she was great. i dindt expect anything big from her but i was totally wrong...positive surprise
Haachan: when she did get to sing she really stood out...and it also made me angry that she got shafted....

Fans of Sayaka, Takamina, Natsuki, Wasamin,Yonechan and Nakatsuka will like this stage....also nakayan and tanamin fans will like it. Fans of Uchida, Misato, Chisato and Haachan (like me) will be disappointed by how those girls got shafted (almost no solo and no lines during play).... especially Haa-chan because we all now how good she can sing...

theater was about 80% sold out...maybe less....

Camera in row O (DVD?)

Hope they will release a sound track of Sayaka Takamina Show. Definitely a must buy...Sayaka solos are really worth it

story line: well rui did a perfect job so i wont post about that.

i'm torn between wanting to kick the management's a** for shafting haachan and nonaka, but with good parts for nakayan and wasamin want to thank them.

since this is a musical, can't they perform this in other parts of japan even just once? like maybe in the sapporo concert hall?
(cause i live like 3 minutes away from that one.... by foot :XD:

Kinda bummed for Haachan, why oh why do they always shaft their best vocalists? :fp:

But on the whole it sounds pretty interesting, I guess. Really wanna watch it now.

SAYAKA. IS. AWESOME.

I can't believe she actually went straight for the real kiss.. Takamina's the luckiest girl right now... Well and so is Sayaka cuz she got to kiss Takamina and make her melt

Chessy, somewhat typical plot and yet I like it (biased ruling maybe? Oh whatever =P) So I'm still super exited to see the musical...

Can't wait to hear reviews on Sae and Yukirin's one

But I think that the songs, even without seeing it, some forced, like maybe they stop the development of the plot. But I can see that Sayaka is an amazing actrees, she has to get more roles after this
