Nah, she'll take it as a compliment since its an acting job.

For appendix here's what it is. BTW I'm a Computer Engineering Major so I'm not also sure if what I put in the spoiler is correct but that's the closest in the disambiguation.

I don't know why they use the word appendix. All I could find is appendices are the free tote bags that come with magazines in Japan. They are also known as "furoku" which means "gift" I think. Like I said, I don't know what their reasoning for using the word "appendix" is, but Atsuko is basically saying that she purchased her first magazine that came with a free tote bag. My guess would be that she saw the purse and bought the magazine to get the purse because it had cats on it.

I totally agree. Aachan is one of the best things in that drama. Her acting, how can I say, is believable; definitely, way better than Yamapi. The problem with that drama is the theme of death. It is so unappealing!

Even if the blame is real and this isn't a rumor, it certainly isn't Atsuko's fault. I've been watching the drama, and although it isn't the best I've seen, I don't consider it to be horrible. I definitely love the comedic relief of Atsuko throwing food all over the dining room in each episode. I personally am a fan of Atsuko's acting, simply because I think her toned-down personality is very cute , but I would agree that from the shows I have seen, she doesn't often get a character who is upbeat and enthusiastic (like in Hana Kimi) which I think if given more opportunities she could fill those sort of roles as well. What do you expect from a girl has a disabled leg, lost her father and mother, her eldest brother is missing, and she works in a funeral parlor? There really isn't much to put into that sort of character.

I think the low ratings are definitely linked the theme of death and the funeral parlor, however, if they had worked to create a stronger sense of suspense in the drama, to make it more "dramatic" it might be going over better than it is. I don't think any of the characters are necessarily doing a bad job acting, you just have to consider the roles they are playing the lives the characters live in. It simply isn't an exciting atmosphere.

Woah!, why are they blaming Acchan? As if people would avoid a show just protest on an actress appearing on it. That's too childish to even think about. Its the show's concept I believe. When a producer and a Director says its a good take then what ever happened to that episode is the responsibility of the post production staff, why blame the actress who only did her best based on the directors specifications.

P.S. I haven't been watching it so its all IMO.
