So today I 'studied' Osaka-ben with one of my friends from Osaka. This woman speaks insane Osaka-ben, it's great. "そなんや" and so forth. Anyway, I showed her Yuka's version of Koike, and even she was like "... I have no idea what she's saying" at points :lol:

She read the lyrics and could catch the few bits she was missing, but Jesus, if even she can't get everything, what hope do I have?!

i was just listening to her version of "Bird", and i must say she has a good profound singing voice, between Takamina's version and yuka's, that is a hard choice to make, but this one is up there. Besides her good strong singing voice, and definitely this girl is a forefront girl, i also love her big eyes, she is just so gorgeous!

Hi everyone,
Im pretty new to AKB48 and still trying to find my feet so to speak

I have been watching dozens of videos and reading these forums for info. I like many of the girls but especially like Yuka. Her voice really amazed me, Bird and Maria where wonderful

I have a couple of questions that mady someone could answer concerning Yuka. Im sorry if im way of base with this assumption but is she not that popular. I get the impression from her lack of air time compared to many others in the group, dont see her face that often in the making of pv's and such. And was there a reason why she was the only one not to take part in the Jump & Cry PB. Sorry if this has been answered before but i looked and didnt find anything.

^ She is popular actually. I wouldn't judge her popularity by how much screentime she gets in singles/PVs, because those aren't really her thing. They have the same 10 or so members for that. Unit songs are where she really shines, but you only see those in the theater show or at concerts. Next time you watch a Blue Rose or Maria performance, just wait for the inevitable (and awesome) "YUKA YUKA YUKA YUKA, YUKA-CHAN!" from the crowd and use that to get an idea of her popularity.

Any time she introduces herself will also do: "[...], Takoyaki MECHA SUKIYANEN!"

ooh scary but ill need to try those. Ill be going to Japan for the first time early next year so im sure ill try many exotic things

I just watched the Koike song , wow. Obvously i have no idea of the dialect differences but i thought it was fantastic, Yuka is so cool. Hopefully when i've been here a little while ill get into the depot and get access to more Yuka goodness

Yuka's voice, amazing expressive, osaka-ian...she is a ball of energy when she goes off.....amazing beautiful young lady, koike she rocks in that song.

octopus...balls...they're not scary, they are actually quite good...with bonito shavings on top, (dried fish mackrel, ohhh so good)... :wink:

On my hunt for Yuka (and team K) goodies i found this ''AKB48 SS Making&commentary (2of2)'' I wasnt sure if i could put a link here so i didnt. Finaly lots of Yuka shots and she does the commentry with two other girls. Who are the other two ? I wish there was subtitles as i have no idea what they are saying

Still am really happy to find this. When i get my hands on a credit card ill be a AKB48 shopping fiend :lol:

yeah, i had some at Nishiki mkt in Kyoto, Takoyaki, oiishi desu!

@lunacat, ^ not sure what video you are refering to, of Yuka, and which 2 girls are next to her in that video.

I heard the both versions of Bird and i have to say Takamina's version is better, the first reason is i'm a Takamina's fan, but the more reason is i like Takamina's deep voice in that song. But really, it's just a fine line of greatness between Takamina's and Yuka's version

But MARIA...OMG. Just blew my mind away :shock:

What a great song combined by a full-powered voice Yuka has. I have never been bored listening to MARIA. Now i'm in the progress in persuading my band to play this song :lol:
