Erina is one of the cutest idols I've seen (and I've seen many...). The first time I saw her was in the Ongaku Gatas' 'Narihajimeta Koi no Bell'. Even though I was a Konno fan, I couldn't help searching all the time for one of the other girls because she was incredibly cute...of course, that girl was Erina... It's just a pity she ended up singing mostly this Cute-ish songs (IMHO they all seem more or less the same), but she's still precious...

I love Mano-chan so much! She's one of the most honest Idols I know of. Her new single is awesome and I love her soft voice. I just wish she would get promoted more. The poor girl needs more love~

Mano Erina attends stage greeting for new “Kamen Rider” movie

On November 28th, Hello! Project’s Mano Erina and actor Fukushi Sota attended a stage greeting for the upcoming film, “Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & Ozu MOVIE Taisen MEGA MAX“.

Mano, who plays the role of ‘Kamen Rider Nadeshiko’, commented, “Before we started filming, I was uncertain. However, director Sakamoto requested to make his heart flutter, so I did my best.” She added, “With each cut, the director would tell me that I’m cute… I’ve never been told that I was cute that much in one day before.”

“Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & Ozu MOVIE Taisen MEGA MAX” is the latest of the ‘Kamen Rider MOVIE Taisen’ series. The story is split into 5 parts, and will feature appearances by both Kamen Rider Fourze and Kamen Rider Ozu/OOO.

As her first time starring in a hero movie, Mano promoted her work saying, “I’m very happy. I want many people to accept it.” Meanwhile, actor Dante Carver, who also stars in the series for the first time, revealed, “Kamen Rider is an outstanding piece of work. Both my family and I are big fans. Even my friends are envious of me, so when it’s released on DVD, I want to give it to them as a present.”

Fukushi, who plays the main role of ‘Kamen Rider Fourze’ (Kisaragi Gentaro), expressed, “This is the first movie where Fourze is the main character. I want to deliver the energy and power of Gentaro through the movie.” The film also marks the return of ‘Kamen Rider Ozu’, who will be portrayed by Watanabe Shu. He stated, “I wanted to bring him back to everyone, so I felt that the opportunity finally came. Please feel the power of Kamen Rider.”

Other attendees of the event included Takahashi Ryuki, Shimizu Fumika, Miura Ryosuke, Takada Riho, Arai Atsushi, and Masuoka Toru.

The movie “Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Fourze & Ozu MOVIE Taisen MEGA MAX” is scheduled to hit theatres on December 10th.

Preview for Mano Erina’s “Tasogare Kousaten” revealed

Previously, we reported about the release of Mano Erina’s new double A-side single “Tasogare Kousaten/Doki Doki Baby” which is scheduled to be released on February 22nd 2012. Earlier in the month, the PV for Doki Doki Baby was released and now a video preview for “Tasogare Kousaten” which was made as a short drama has been revealed.

“Tasogare Kousaten” will be used as the theme song for the anime adaptation of “Kimi no Iru Machi” which is a popular manga currently being serialized on Weekly Shonen Magazine (Kodansha), and Mano will also take on voice acting for the first time in the anime.

Mano Erina announces new album, “More Friends
Over”

It was announced that Mano Erina will be releasing her 3rd album titled “More Friends Over” on March 28th 2012!

This will be her first album in over a year and 4 months since the release of her last album “MORE FRIENDS” which was released back in November 2010. The album will contain some original songs like “Glory Days” and “Tenkiyohou ga Atattara.”

Mano will also release a new double A-side single “Tasogare Kousaten/Doki Doki Baby” on February 22nd.

Mano Erina blogs about ‘Coming of Age Day’

Soloist Mano Erina has officially ‘come of age’!

Every second Monday of January marks a special holiday in Japan called ‘Seijin no Hi’, or Coming of Age Day. Young adults who reach the age of 20 go out en masse to temples and local government offices to celebrate becoming adults. Now that they’re 20, they’re allowed more civil liberties, such as being able to drink alcohol and vote. However, society also expects them to behave like adults from this point on, and thus accept greater responsibilities.

On this day, the 20-year-olds wear kimonos, but some opt to wear more modern formal wear. For many 20-year-old girls, however, the best moment of the day comes with wearing the ‘furisode‘, or long-sleeved kimonos which take a really long time to put on.

Going back to the topic at hand, Mano Erina has posted a joyous new entry on her blog!

She wrote,

Today is Coming of Age Day.

I have come-of-age! (。・ω・)ノ゛

(Even though I’m technically closer to 21 years old since I was born in April, haha)

When I was little, the older girls would walk around in my neighborhood wearing beautiful kimonos on this day. I’d watch, and be like, “Kimonos~”

Now I’m of that age…

Happily, I’ve worn long-sleeved kimonos for work three different times now. Today, however, I’m not wearing one~ o(・ω・`)o

I did want to wear one, but the live concerts have begun. Yesterday there were three shows, so I didn’t feel confident that I would be able to wake up early [to dress in the kimono].

…Or at least, that’s my excuse haha.

You only live this moment once~ …even though I feel like I wasted it a bit, but it’s OK (。-∀-)

To all those who are welcoming their adulthood~ Congratulations!

Congratulations to Mano and all those who came of age today!
