AKS (株式会社AKS) is the main agency group and management of AKB48, SKE48, HKT48 and NGT48.
All AKB48 Group members are part of AKS, unless they are picked up by a 3rd party management group. AKS also releases various AKB48 Group CDs and DVDs, such as stage studio recordings.
SKE48 members are also managed under AKS, being transferred from Pythagoras Promotion in 2011, whereas NMB48 is managed under a different company, unaffiliated with AKS, Showtitle.
The name comes from the initials of the founders, Akimoto Yasushi, Kubota Yasushi, and Shiba Kotaro.
