2018

  • On March 24th, the final episode of her radio show "Tochigi Toyota Weekend Freestyle" aired.
  • On April 5th, the first episode of her radio show "Toyota Rental Lease Presents: Honda Hitomi Heat Is On" aired.
  • In June, she had her first appearance as a candidate on the Korean survival show Produce 48.
  • On August 31st, she came in 9th place during the finale of Produce 48. This meant she would debut with IZONE.
    • Her official color in IZONE was peach.
  • On October 29th, she officially debuted with IZONE and released the mini-album COLOR*IZ.

2019

  • On February 6th, she made her Japanese debut with IZONE with the single Suki to Iwasetai.
  • On March 28th, the final episode of her radio show "Toyota Rental Lease Presents: Honda Hitomi Heat Is On" aired.
  • On April 4th, the first episode of her radio show "NEZAS Presents: Honda Hitomi World Get You" aired. It replaced the slot of her previous show.

2020

  • On June 15th, IZONE's fourth mini album was released. The song Merry-Go-Round was released in both Korean and Japanese, for which Hitomi had written the lyrics.
  • On October 14th, the Japanese fashion label 'titty & co.' released a new line of clothing with Hitomi as the exclusive model.
  • On October 21st, IZONE's first Japanese album was released. This included a Japanese version of La Vie en Rose, with lyrics translated by Hitomi.

2021

  • On March 29th, the final episode of her radio show World Get You aired.
  • On April 29th, IZONE officially disbanded and Hitomi, Miyawaki Sakura and Yabuki Nako returned to Japan. Upon returning, they were all still signed to the agency Vernalossom, which handled IZONE's activities and promotions in Japan.
  • On April 30th, she was listed as an official member on AKB48's website again, sans any mention of IZONE.
  • On May 15th, she made her first Instagram and Twitter posts on her personal accounts for the first time since September 2018.
  • On May 17th, she started sending mail again on AKB48's private mail app.
  • On May 23rd, she made her first appearance at an AKB48 concert since returning from IZONE, for the final concert of Team 8 National Tour ~47 no Suteki na Machi e~ 2021 in Kanagawa.
