- Started training for 8D Creative (was a trainee for less than 1 year before joining Produce 48).
2018
- In June, made her first appearance as a candidate on the Korean idol survival show Produce 48.
- On August 31st, came in 8th place on the finale of Produce 48. This meant she would debut with IZONE.
- Her official color is coral.
- On October 29th, IZONE's debut album COLOR*IZ was released, featuring Hyewon in all songs.
