2012
- On March 4, was promoted to Team H (Team H formation).
- On June 6, during the 4th Senbatsu Election, placed 47th place. She was the only HKT48 member to rank, and the youngest overall member voted into the Top 64.
- On October 31, was chosen as a Senbatsu member for AKB48's 28th single UZA.
2013
2014
- On January 11, during the HKT48 concert "Kawaii Ko ni wa Motto Tabi wa Saseyo, it was announced that Sakura would move to Team KIV.
- On February 24, during the AKB48 Group Daisokaku Matsuri, her Kennin position with AKB48 Team A was announced.
- On June 7, during the 6th Senbatsu Election, was voted #11 and joined Senbatsu, being the first HKT48 member to join the AKB48 with the exception of Sashihara Rino.
- On September 7, her participation in the sub-unit "NyanyaKB with Tsuchinoko Panda" was announced.
- On November 26, became the center for AKB48's 38th single Kibouteki Refrain with Watanabe Mayu. This was the first time, management chose an HKT48 member as center for an AKB48 single.
2015
- Starting January 20, Sakura was co-star on Majisuka Gakuen 4 alongside Shimazaki Haruka, marking her first appearance in a drama.
- On April 8, the ending theme "Idol wa Unyanya no Ken" for the video game Yokai Watch was released by NyanyaKB with Tsuchinoko Panda.
- On April 22, was the center for HKT48's 5th single 12byou together with Kodama Haruka. This was the first time she centered an HKT48 single.
- On November 14, was appointed the ambassador for the promotion of Cultural Property of the Kagoshima prefecture.
2016
- On March 9, was the solo center for AKB48's 43rd single Kimi wa Melody. This was her first solo center position.
- On September 1, started a twitter and instagram account.
- Starting October, she was chosen as a model to represent Saibu Gas Co. Ltd.
- Starting October 30, was part of the cast for Cabasuka Gakuen.
2017
2018
- On March 19, started a gaming channel on YouTube.
- On April 1, had her last activity as a member of Team A during the AKB48 Tandoku Concert ~Jabajatte Nani?~ concert.
- On May 10, her appearance in the Korean idol survival show "Produce 48" was announced.
- Received Rank A during the initial evaluation.
- Was chosen as the center for the first original song, Nekkoya (Pick Me).
- Performed I.O.I's "Very Very Very" for the first group battle performance. Was originally chosen as the center, but it was changed to Kim Cho-yeon last minute.
- During the Position evaluation, chose Vocal and Rap and performed BLACKPINK's Ddu-du Ddu-Du.
- During the Concept evaluation, chose Pop Dance and performed the original song "See You Again" (다시 만나).
- During the Debut evaluation, chose the Japanese song "Suki ni Nacchau Darou?" (好きになっちゃうだろう?).
- Was voted 2nd place in the final ranking and was chosen as one of the members to debut in Korea.
- On August 31, was announced as a member for the Korean and Japanese girl group IZ*ONE.
- Her official color in IZONE is Pastel Pink.
- On October 29th, had her official debut with IZONE and the mini album COLOR*IZ.
- On December 29th, appeared on the pilot episode for Everyone's Kitchen.

- On October 21st, the Japanese version of FIESTA (lyrics written by Sakura) was released.
2021
- In January and February, was one of the 5 IZONE members chosen for an endorsement between Pepsi and STARSHIP Entertainment.
- Released on February 22nd, was featured in the Harper BAZAAR magazine's March issue as a birthday present from her fans.
- Released on February 25th, was featured in the VOGUE Korea magazine's March issue as a birthday present from her fans.
- On April 29th, IZONE officially disbanded, and Sakura, Yabuki Nako and Honda Hitomi returned to Japan.
- On April 30th, was listed as an official member of HKT48 again, sans any mention of IZONE.
- On May 15th, had her first appearance at the HKT48 theatre.
- On May 15th, announced her graduation from HKT48.
- On June 19th, held her graduation concert, HKT48 Miyawaki Sakura Graduation Concert ~Bouquet~.
