Transference of members can occur when a member of AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, JKT48 or SNH48 is transferred to another sister group, ceasing to hold a position in their original group and team.

The first transferred member was Nakanishi Yuka, and the announcement was made on August 23, 2008 during the AKB48 Natsu Matsuri.
