The swirling waves receding seem to make a lonesome sound

At long last it reached the water’s edge
Though it almost gave up during the journey
The current changed once more, with another long way to go
It managed by enduring and aiming for the shore
Your dream will make it here someday as well
Even if it’s overtaken by something else

What matters most is it gets there in the end

The coastline is cluttered
With gifts from all around the world
I touch them all gently with my fingers, one by one
Feeling the warmth of the sun and the fragrance of salt
I try to hear the messages they speak
