私は今　歌い始める
かすかな光に

Now, I begin to sing

Whatever the sorrow, whatever the regret
I will not use them as an excuse
If this is such a precious dream
I won’t wipe away my overflowing tears
Instead, I’ll do what I can do –
I’ll sing wholeheartedly at the top of my lungs
Even if in a place I can’t see, it will surely reach someone

Now, I begin to sing
In order to put an end
To the ‘me’ of yesterday
Looking straight ahead, I throw out my voice from my stomach
Will my song be carried by the wind?

That someone, somewhere in this world is listening –
This is my wish
Even if our voices
Are drowned out by the noise
That’s ok, as long as they reach that precious person

No matter how weak, no matter how small each single voice may be
When gathered, they can form a message
I won’t see it as an impossible dream
And I will not whine
I’ll do whatever I can do
In the moment I take that small step
I will support the back of someone who is lost

I’m not alone; I have friends
Even if at times I trip and get hurt
I will borrow someone’s shoulder and rise again
The strength from having known love
Keeps me singing
