My handshake experience with Chiyori

When I went to Fukuoka a couple weeks ago, I was lucky to be there for the AKB handshake. As I don't really follow AKB, but I love HKT, I was unsure who to see. Of course for HKT sake I felt the need to see Chori. It was my first hs so it felt necessary to have some kind of tie to HKT. Anyway. I didn't realise it was a shared lane so I had my first with Maachun, a very confused me didn't know what was going on so I was speechless until I got to Chiyori who was also surprised (probably because I was pretty much the only caucasian there) but quickly said 'I love you!' In English. Of course I said it back but quickly realised that she and Shige (my oshi) are/were rivals. So I had to go back. They were all surprised to see that I'd returned for a second time, but I told Chiyori in Japanese that I love Shige as she is my oshi but I still like Chiyori. I'd also unbuttoned my shirt so that my red Shige 12Byou was showing and I was pointing at it whilst telling her this. I think she was shocked but she did said she was glad. Probably an odd thing to say/do, but I found it funny.
Later that day, she did a 'mentaiko!' on Twitter.

Chori was AMAZING as an MC! She had so much energy without being annoying, but most importantly, she was able to allow members to have a conversation and she easily was able to interject herself into each things the members talked about. Her talk about Tani was hilarious. Easily the best idol MC the show had, and her skills reminded me about Sasshi. Hope she gets more variety opportunities from now on
