I've just come across this Thai-language news article (dated '12 กันยายน 2561' which I'm pretty sure is today's date in Thai format) which appears to have some news about AKB48 appearing at this year's Maya International Music Festival on 12/8 & 12/9 in Bangkok: https://www.newsplus.co.th/151338
Official page and Facebook: https://www.mayamusicfestival.com/ (nothing on lineup page yet) https://www.facebook.com/mayamusicfest/ Lots of K-pop - SUPER JUNIOR -D & E - RYEOWOOK (SUPER JUNIOR) - DJ HYO (GIRLS 'GENERATION) - TAEMIN (SHINee) - EXO-CBX - NCT U - NCT 127
A fellow Thai here at your service. It wasn't in the linked article, but during press conference today they announced they will bring AKB48 FULL TEAM (which I think means 16 persons, and not 100++ persons). Still no more detail though.
From their Facebook post (google version) First in Thailand with AKB48 original family of 48 direct from Japan. With full show You have never seen a Handshake Party with 16 members. Perhaps @innosu can do a better job.
First time in Thailand! AKB48, the original 48 group direct from Japan. With full show you have never seen before, and Handshake Party with 16 members.
People here hate the line up already, since the original Maya Music Fest are mostly EDM thing, and this year they change to K-pop, J-pop and little EDM. a lot of people are now consideration about refund their early ticket. and some rumor that AKB48 gonna held own concert in Thailand by the end of this year.
""Nico Nico Live Broadcasting" announced that it will broadcast the "Nico Raw Girls Association" which is sent every time the NEW single of AKB 48 is released, in commemoration of the release of 53rd single "sentimental train" on Sunday, 16th (Sunday). Wanted to mention this. Sounds like they're rumors that they were shooting AKB48 54th Single MV yesterday. http://akb48taimuzu.livedoor.biz/archives/54135793.html
It’s saying that it’s likely all the Japanese Izone members made Senbatsu. If that’s true it would be really surprising tbh considering they were said to not be able to promote with AKB for a year and a half
Right... http://www.berry.co.jp/heatison/index.php?date=1536764400 https://twitter.com/Lunatic_Complex/status/1040133416740577282
If that's the senbatsu, then I guess I have more money in my pocket for next year's SSK (But also... 48G doing things this far in advance? Hilarious.)
I don't think this is too far in advance. Usually we get this single performed during the Janken tournament and that's next week. I doubt we'll get it this year since Sentimental Train is coming out next week as well and that'd be a bit too much... ... and at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if we did since they probably want to capitalise on the IZONE girls while the iron is still hot.
i agree... mess. but other than that i really do like this line up! any predictions for a release date? :]
So long! was released in February and yet the MV was shot around October or November. It's September and the 54th will most likely be released in November. The I*ZONE members should have a tighter schedule soon, so maybe this was the only time everyone was available before that. When we had five singles a year.
That's because the senbatsu was announced during the ranked and unranked concerts, simultaneously, in September and the Janken was held in October.
