She's one of those eitos from 2000 whose graduation this year has been predicted for a while (years, really), and her case was strong since, contrary to the vast majority of idols, she's pretty smart.

She won't be the last to leave this year. I'm looking at their list and I'm seeing Hattori (2000), maybe Pyon (2000)? Rumba should be the biggest candidate, but her actions indicate otherwise. Serika could be one of them if she wasn't 17. I don't know. But there are members that have absolutely no plans of graduation, like Berin.

I know you're going to say Yoko. She's also from 2000 and she's Hijirin's best friend. But I've never seen an idol graduating because her friend(s) do so. Each girl has its own life and goals. We'll see.

thanks. maybe a better question would be, are they still operating on the level they were before they put them into other teams? i kind of had the feeling they might phase the team out.

 

They still have a lot of activities. Days ago they even had their 5th anniversary concert. They will be in a Toyota CM soon. Now, "are they still doing those lives across the country with just six members?", not as much, but that was replaced with other activities. It wasn't the kennin that changed Team 8. After all, that's just theatre performances. What changed is that they now they're busy with other stuff. But they have TV shows, concerts, the tour, and other events. Like, yesterday they were at Tokyo Street Collection.

The question should be: what is AKB4 doing besides YouTube videos?

I also wonder what is Toyota waiting to hold auditions ?
Until last year they would anounce straight after the graduation stage. (Last was Tsugumi's if I'm not wrong)
Maybe they want to hold a batch in only one place ?

 

I see two possibilities:

1) Fuck the 47 prefectures system. Manage a team with 20 something members without small fry;
2) Make a group of 9/10 girls debut together and promote them like a new generation. Fans like new generations.

 

no new auditions has been the main reason many people predicted that toyota will not further their contract with aks. the coming cm could be their last hurrah.
and the remaining ones will just stay in their current concurrency teams... and team 8...
