Ok, ignoring the metrics and ssk results and hs and bla bla bla, what would be the senbatsu if AKB took the HKT method of picking senbatsu?

 

I think UG will look like this:
AKB48: Miyazaki Miho, Owada Nana, Taniguchi Megu, Oshima Ryoka, Muto Tomu, Minegishi Minami, Nishino Miki, Kuranoo Narumi
SKE48: Kitagawa Ryoha, Goto Rara
NMB48: Shiroma Miru, Yagura Fuuko, Sutou Ririka
HKT48: Tomonaga Mio, Yabuki Nako
NGT48: Kato Minami

Team 8's Senbatsu will look something like:

Oguri Yui |Sakaguchi Nagisa| Kurano Narumi​

Nakano Ikumi, Yamada Nanami, Yokoyama Yui, Yokomichi Yuiri, Okabe Rin, Oda Erina, Sato Nanami, Tanikawa Hijiri, Nagano Serika, Hama Sayuna, Honda Hitomi, Yoshida Karen, Ota Nao

@Mayu Paru The abbreviations I know and can remember are:

SSK sousenkyo
HS handshake
UG under girls

I guess those are the most common?

Ps: yes, management chooses the senbatsu in all singles except the one following the sousenkyo, which is based on voting ranks and divided in categories.

 

That's the thing, they threw out the set method with the newly announced 9th single and included a lot of new girls to senbatsu and dropped a bunch of senbatsu locks.

 

I actually think that would be really refreshing. Like HKT did, they can keep the super popular members, but remove some of the other members for a change.

 

Quite easily, on their previous singles there were 12-13 senbatsu locks (Sasshi, Haruppi, Sakura, Meru, Mio, Madoka, Natsu, Lovetan, Chiichan, Jinna, Nako, Miku) with 3-4 rotating positions (in the back line) with one position usually given to an kks.

This time there's 7 new to senbatsu (including 4 kks who've never even performed a full stage yet), 3 members who have been in only 2 singles, 1 who has been in 3 singles with only 5 senbatsu locks retained.

 

The usual method usually involve putting 2 new name replacing 2 name in previous single for various reason.
The 2 names are rarely the senbatsu locks, though.

And Yuria? The flopping one is her fanbase in SSK this year. Only God knows what will happen next year.

What's the surprise with Paruru center?
She is the only member that centers at least one single every year, since Aachan left.
12 - Eien Pressure
13 - Sayonara Crawl
14 - Dog Song (ok, she wasn't center, but there were huge expeculations during that time that she was the first choice of center, but then Mayuyu year happened - THANK GOD btw)
15 - Bokutachi boring song
16 - 46th single

On NyanNyan's graduation topic, i dont think she will center an A-Side, cause i really don't think her graduation will get that postponed.... So probably she will get some treat on this single...

And if i have to guess, Paruru will center next SSK ticket single.

BTW, next year's (ex-)summer / SSK ticket single is 48th - hopefully they will do something amazing, I know that there is nothing much they can do and that single will have good sale too, but hopefully they will make a massive single (whatever does it mean)... Or maybe just do a catchy summer single (PLEASE).

yeah, i think the main problem is yuria weak in the general public & akb fandom.

I have no problem mgmt chose Yuria in this single (i prefer they drop hana for tomu)... but i hope they kick out Yuria from media senbatsu lol

But HKT doesn't really have a set goal like AKB needs to sell 1 million in a week, so I guess it's alright for them to put in newer members.
