    That Nanamin solo...
Did they make an only take or what? Sometimes she's singing and the music is going somewhere else.
Not bad though, just a bit messy.

This is the same stuff people have been saying about AKB since Acchan left in 2012.

Fans will grow old, sure. But they can also get new fans.
They are a female idol group that consists basically in girls leaving and girls coming in. You never know if you'll find a new diamond in your ranks.
AKB's glory days might be long gone, but their sales are still strong and they keep creating new sister groups.

Heck, Keyakizaka is probably having the best debut year of any group ever? And that's saying.

    ANYWAY

The song is pretty safe, but I like the last chorus where it's all a bit more stripped down.
It still reminds me of Christmas on summer or something. :^^;:

A bit too much of Miona on the b-sides though. Still don't get what's so awesome about her.

Yass... ayane-chan... glad she get recognition:cute:
Also better position for Renachi

And as expected for Ranze. Kanarin too. They justified their spot by HS popularity.

Young guns is coming... time by time they attract more and more fans.

But, I thought one or two 3rd gen join undermember. Where are they?

Love Nanamin's solo. everything i expected from her.

I can't wait for the better singers in Nogi to try their hand at it. not to take anything away from her rendition, but just to hear a more adept singer.

Still. Nanamin. There was such a member.

I like Nanamin's voice and song, it really suits her and the main song. I would love to see Maimai as a special guest on her last day.

Love the song! The mood is just perfect for someone like Nanamin. Can't wait to hear the other songs.

It's actually a really wordy(?) song, no instrumental interludes lasting longer than about 3 seconds.

I misheard 'setsunaku' (painful) as 'senshuuraku' (the last day of a show) :^^;:

But what would hapen if Sasshi, Sakuratan, Jurina & Sayanee aren't crossing over. Can Mayu, Yukirin, Paruru carry AKB on their own. 48 group members dwarfs zaka46, but AKB are stuck with the same old members. They're even bringing back the graduates for their single, twice already (though the 1st is just for the PV). There's no concurrency between zaka46 and Nogi haven't promoted their 2nd gen that well, except Hori. And you said it yourself, still don't get what's so awesome about her.
We all don't want Nogi to fade away now that graduations are inevitable. But management need to do a better job specially now that 3rd gen are here. I agree with you on one thing, hopefully one or two of these girls are diamond.:)

Not appealed on the solo song, but I reckon it's not flashy either.

    RRRRANZE!

Nogi may be on the dusk of their "Golden Age" and possibly lost their "trending" vibe soon. But, I think it's a great test for their loyalist fans.
I still like the fact that 3rd gen are well-hyped back then. That's a good start for another age.

A bit of a tough one, but something like

I like the feeling that a train is approaching
Under the rail bridge I waited for that sound
There's graffiti on the pillars, with numbers and initials
I wonder what message they're trying to leave, and to who

The passing of time (the passing of time)
    teaches me (teaches me)
    Those normal days that passed
    Those irreplaceable footprints

    Become strong with goodbyes
There was meaning behind us meeting
After the sadness comes our future
    Beginnings will always
    be followed by endings
I wanted to hold you and protect you
    a feeling that becomes love

The train passes thunderously on top of the wind
Your lips moved but I couldn't heard anything
Silence returns and you wait for an answer
I look at your eyes and nod as I smile

Those important things (those important things)
Even if they get away from you (even if they get away from you)
    New meetings will once again
    Surely return someday

    Don't turn away from goodbyes
Nothing good will come of running from them
Leave your memories where you stand
    Everyone hesitates to finish
    and ends up standing still
But we will release the arms we held each with
    and from that grow stronger

    While we hesitated
    the day ended (painfully)
The far off steel tower is becoming too blurry to see (certainly)
I love you, but (I love you but)
But I have to say it properly
The eyes that stared at each other become starry skies

    Goodbyes are waypoints
There will be many more after this
You'll look back and miss me but keep walking
    Just like you

    Become strong with goodbyes
There was meaning behind us meeting
After the sadness comes our future
    Beginnings will always
    be followed by endings
    I wanted to hold you
I asked what you really feel
I don't want to lose it, I want to protect
    a feeling that becomes love

Naimono nedari - Asking for the Moon*

At the hem of the bottom of the curtain
The cold penetrates the grain of the wooden floor
In the middle of winter, I want to lay in bed
    And read my favourite book.

The time I spend at ease
    Gives my heart release
    When facing these busy days
I grew to like being alone

Why is this happiness before our eyes
and not enough for some to live happily
    is it not plenty
I don't intend to ask for the moon

If I get sleepy like this
At some point with the light still on
I leave for the land of dreams
As long as I have the freedom to doze off.

Why is this happiness before our eyes
and not enough for some to live happily
    is it not plenty
I don't intend to ask for the moon

If I'm going to lose something,
There's nothing I want enough to do go that far
    Everything I have now
Is enough to be everything I have
Even if I wake up, I'm happy as I am.

*Like in the original Japanese, asking for the moon refers to wanting something that is impossible. If taken apart and translated (over) literally Naimono Nedari means "demanding something that doesn't exist"

Graduations are coming. Not sure how Maiyan and Misa were lumped in here. Maiyan, I feel, now has the burden of being the alpha and I don't see her giving up just yet. Misa senpai only just got here big time. I think she's gonna, and should, take Nanamin's oshis.

It's cray-cray to have expected a 3rd gen to have appeared as a member here. They barely have been introduced. They'll start being active probably around the new year. I would think we should see them around 5th anniversary time.

Every member is important to Nogizaka46 from center of senbatsu to back line of UG. Nogizaka46 is 35 members without counting the 3rd gen. It's not just the 11 fukujin, nor the 19 senbatsu, but the full 35. They are all important. The least popular shouldn't graduate because they are unpopular. They should graduate because they have achieved their goal of being the best idols they can be. At the moment, I don't think that the 1st gens of the third row UG have attained that. They anchor the back and always give their all for Nogi fans. We should cheer them on. Constantly. Every time we see them.

The world needs more Wada Maaya.
I want to see Rottii shine again.
And Kawago Hina, she's only just starting.

    --
But back to the single... I'm disappointed that there are no member PV for the DVD content. It's seems to be not as bad as the 15th single DVD content, but without more information I am hesitant to say the single is going to be awesome. Has anyone come across information of what the content will be. Such as the documentaries for Sayonara no Imi and Tsumasaki no Mukou ni, are these the making of the MVs? And what does Itsumo to Chigau Natsu mean?

The lyrics of both songs made me die a little. If it weren't for Nanamin's graduation, the effects wouldn't have been so big, I think.

Moving on to the UG formation, I wish management would show a bit more love for Ito Karin. She's on the older side, and I think she deserves some more exposure while she's still here. I always liked her face, although until Hakumai Sama I never really pay much attention to her voice. I think she's got a nice voice... Or is it because I'm comparing it to Sayuringo's "singing"? [hehe]

Well said about Nogizaka. It's not just about the members in the front. It's front-to-back and back-to-front. That's what makes this group special :)

"Itsumo to chigau natsu" means a "a summer that's different than usual."
