TRUE BETTER QUALITY

 

This song just blew any recent 48/46 singles out of water esp NGT's debut single.

 

This is going to be the first single of an idol group that I will ever purchase in my whole life, and I am glad it's Fukyouwaon.

The song is nice, but nothing groundbreaking.
The chorus is obvs the best part.

The boku wa yada ruins it for me.
I hate it when they talk in songs. It's one of the reasons I don't listen to Sekai as much as the rest.

Why do the solo lines sound so amateurish? Some are really really bad.

Maybe I need to listen to it more before I could start really liking the song. Frankly speaking, it's not instant love compared to their other songs.

 

I agree that the "Boku wa iya da!" is kinda annoying (Techi -> Neru -> Yuuka?), but some people in Twitter / Weibo / Tieba seems really into it so everyone have their own taste i guess.

I guess they're going for the Indian market. Sounds like Bollywood -- which is a good thing.

Of course I understand those who don't like the "speaking" part, but I disagree completely, as I did (not quite as much) on SekaAi. This definitely works for me. My only question is whether there's enough musicality here for the song to last. It's rolling around in my head constantly for now.

Neru-chan!!! Talking about the drama Quartet, which she loves (and I like a lot). And really talking. Just great. More Neru than we usually get to hear. Natural Neru. Hirate hasn't even watched one episode! Hirate sounds happy and alive, with Neru (even if she is a bit ticked off with having her pronunciation of one kanji corrected).

EDIT2: 2channel has just burned through 1000 posts in 32 minutes. That's slightly over a post every 2 seconds.

EDIT3: As one 2channel post said (more or less): "I like it, but I wonder if it will gain general acceptance." It's pretty different.
