Hey guys do you have to be there Sa ABSCBN bldg. To get through with the auditions? I heard from the Bretana Twins that they made the top 200 but can't go to manila due to schooling

 

Training in Japan maybe after the first gen has been announced. There is a gap from April to June, the supposed launch of the group.

I think this is one of ABS-CBN's way of getting in touch with the masses to widen their fanbase.

Because of Hayaka, I decided to delete the app this time.

 

I feel bad for Jash though...the girl has potential.

I'm curious about Chimi's issue-- I wonder who that 'pardoned' girl she is talking about. Haha

 

They think they have to be SKE level... pfffft. Not surprised that the fringe groups are asking for all on a silver platter.

I think some people have watched too many conspiracy theory shows. And I think I'll start choosing my friends carefully from now on. "Fandom" is going to be divided just because of some stupid whims and unrealistic expectations.

 

Their video was very precise actually. It explained a lot about AKB48 and MNL48.

PRESS RELEASE:
MNL48 reveals Top 200 semi-finalists

The Top 200 semi-finalists who will move on to the next stage of the search for the first generation members of MNL48, were presented today, January 20, on ABS-CBN’s noontime show, It’s Showtime.

The 200 semi-finalists were introduced to the audience and performed live for the very first time as part of It’s Showtime’s launch of the MNL48 segment that will officially start airing every day (Monday to Saturday) beginning January 29.

Meanwhile, for one week starting January 22 until January 26, the Kapamilya noontime show will be featuring the Top 200 contestants’ sing and dance videos on the segment, along with their panel interview and their first pictorial. Through this, It’s Showtime viewers and MNL48 supporters will get a chance to get to know the semi-finalists or their Oshis before screening and selection of the Top 100 aspirants which is now in the hands of a panel of judges.

The much-awaited announcement of Top 100 finalists will be on January 27, 2018 on It’s Showtime and the contestants who will make the cut will compete for the first MNL48 General Election this April.

For the list of names of the Top 200 applicants, you may visit MNL48 website or through MNL48 Plus mobile app and follow our social media accounts for more updates.

 

Yeah, because 200 girls are too many. Time to filter them quick. 1 week is enough.

PS: Eunice Santiago got the most exposure. I think.

I'm so happy that there's at least 1 candidate per region in both Luzon and Visayas, which is quite a surprise but I was hoping that someone from zamboanga will enter the 200

Hell, snide comments from other fandoms.

 

I see where the bad comments are coming from. Probably because of how some of the girls look (some are fat and looks like moms lol), the synchronization of their dance (I understand this since they only practiced for a short period of time) and lastly the concept of "bagay" in our society. But I have how hopes that their perspective about MNL48 will change once we have the final 48 girls already.


PS: I hate the fact that "idol material" girls like Jash and Hayaka wasn't included in the Top 200 and those fat and old-looking girls got in. LOL sorry for being harsh
