But yeah, down to Top 60. Still wondering how it's gonna turn out once we get to Top 50. We've talked about this before, but it IS MNL48. I still don't see a good way of trimming down that number without really making spots 49 and 50 salty, you know? lol

I hope by 55 girls left we get a finale announcement. I kinda wish they did this to get to the final 48:

• 50% HHE, ABS-CBN and MNL48 advisers vote
• 50% Votes (MNL48 app + Text voting)

But of course, it would seem unfair if the power of text voting is bigger than the app, it would be nice if they did like an equivalent of the vote (e.g 5 text votes = 1 MNL48 app vote) or something bigger. It would be too awkward to do a finale with only 2 girls being eliminated. That's too cruel.

And I hope they release the Kami 7 (rather than the current top 10) and the Senbatsu alongside their first single. I really hope they do get something more funky like Flying Get or High Tension. It suits the girls's voices since the top 16 as of now don't have that cute voices that suit songs like Koisuru Fortune Cookie. Eunice's voice is strong enough to stand in powerhouse singers like Sheki and girls like Aria, Ash and Sela have more womanly voice.

 

Yeah, it was heartbreaking tbh. I don't want to sound mean but in shows where there are twins, separating them is much worse than them falling down to top 10 together. There's just more emotional trauma with separating twins.

 

Agreed. Especially if they're identical.
When exactly did that happen? When that group of 5 left the first time?

 

Well, the eliminations happened and the five remained and went to the backstage. I guess it was just too much for Shaira to be not part of the top 10, be separated from her twin in the top 10 and being in the brink of elimination. It happened so fast which is why she may have been overwhelmed with emotion.

Did anyone notice this? The eliminated girls didn't felt happy when they were called to perform? Like the highlighted 10 became predictable to them. Like if they know they're falling behind so being called is like being eliminated already. Like I doubt girls like Ella and Sheki have that in their mind because they're already strong Senbatsu candidates that even if they go through the elimination process that Showtime has they'd be more confident.

I do hope they don't do something anti-climatic for the finale, because if the budget is limited I can totally imagine them to have this scenario: The top 55 remain and in the elimination week, instead of eliminating 5, they eliminate 7 and the 48 girls are chosen and we wait for their 1st single (plus the final results announced). That is lame but given the situation it is possible.

 

Yes, after the 5 left and the rest who are safe went backstage. When the sliding door from the stage was about to close Shaira sat down and then some of the girls who was with her where seen comforting her.
