Yukirin has a clone that they use for NGT, so that one stayed behind, while the AKB one went to korea

Sakura decided to let her twin stay home and play videogames, but I'm sure that's just her cat transforming into Sakura

Orrrr, maybe she’ll just make an appearance as a special guest/mentor, she has the 2nd highest seniority in all of 48G afterall.

Edit: Just saw that there’s actually a lot of them not just Yukirin... its either for a guest appearance or if they did decide to join then lmao, I’m readying my popcorn

Edit2x: oh wait fudge, I just saw the teaser, ignore me xD

Well, if Yukirin do join as a contestant. Imagine all those naysayers "26 y.o is ancient for idol" eat their words and those old depressed trainees become inspired because cmiiw, yukirin is 27 this year and 28 in korean age but look at her. Her career is flourishing, her gravure still sells, and if you close your eyes and ears tight, yukirin has never had a massive scandal. As far as idol goes, Yukirin is the proof that you could be an idol if you love your job. I mean, she helped two sister groups to develop already and almost half of her comrades had graduated. What is that if it's not love?

Well yukirin just posted on ig story so idk whats gg on honestly BAHAHA

either ways it can or may not be a rigged show.

if the 48g top members can easily be accepted on the show, it can also be rigged to let them be “eliminated” later on for SSK and 48g sake since they are staple senbatsu members. (honestly aki-p would take some senbatsu members back ya hahaha)

Getting top tier members would actually fuel the show to get more attention and views at the start either ways.

    Rigged ? Maybe or not.
Edited footages ? I heard this one of the heaviest criticism.
But having them eliminated for SSK ?
Hmmm it wouldn't be a wise move regarding the show concept.
They are currently filming for Ep 0 which will air 06/15.
The real thing should start in the following week.
The remaining question being how to accomodate the elected girls for songs and PV recording ?
All done in Korea maybe ?

    I'm curious about the voting.

If the Japanese can vote for the Japanese contestants, wouldn't it be obvious that Yukirin, Jurina and Sakura are going to be part of the final group?

I'm not sure I want any of them in the final line-up.
Having them everywhere in the 48G is enough already.

Kojikamo, Ikumin, Serika, Mogi... they could do a lot with a chance like this.

I was really worried at first about all this p48 thing but ive come to see how it can be beneficial to most if not all members.
Of all the 48g members going i think yukirin (if shes participating as a contestant that is, some people saying it's probably mentor position idk..eitherway,) [She] really has nothing to lose. The way i see it she can only gain from the experience. From what I'm reading the trainers are very talented people (I must confess idk much about K-pop or its industry tho)
Plus she's bound to increase Korean fanbase hopefully enough to hold a solo concert, she had one in China not so long ago ddnt she? (fingers crossed for a yukirin world Asia tour in the future)
I mean i feel like its easy for that to happen since she's sweet, pretty and she really has a nice voice.
Also she doesn't have a sousenkyo to think about either.. and I hope we can see her gold reactions on the show

For anyone who wants original (korean) source of P48 news:
Also, there's a Twitter rumor that Produce48 will be recorded in Japan on April 18th. But, since it's a rumor (although it said the source is from insiders) so I don't include the tweet.

mnet/ymc would have to audition and invest in trainees to make this work as a permanent group. all the korean idols are trainees for different agencies so that’s a huge hurdle

2,5 years group is already more than what the pass projects (IOI and Wanna One) got, which is 1 year. While for us 48 fans 2,5 years is nothing, that's an amount of time that IOI and Wanna One would kill to have

2.5 years can be the contract for the winning members (i.e. senbatsu). Well I really hope it's a sister group with it's own theatre and it's own army of theatre girls.

I don't think it was ever said it was going to be a SG.

A SG would have been announced like all the others.
Seoul48! Theatre in Gangnam! Auditions next month!

This was always going to be a temporary group, seeing how IOI and Wanna One worked.
The 48G girls that get into the final lineup will be part of a different group (just like some were part of French Kiss, Not Yet, no3b, etc.) for 2.5 years and that's it.

I just hope they are treated better than other Kpop girlbands.
Seeing how hyped IOI, BLACKPINK or 2NE1 were at the beginning just to fall into obscurity was plain sad.

If anything the girls on our side still has SSK to back them up. Hopefully the wotas aren't against having their oshis joining this show/half group or whatever.

guess that rumor about a theater in Korea are out the door... or maybe AKS might still do it on its own at some point based on how this 2.5 year experiment goes.

will be interesting to see how the selected girls juggle their AKB careers and this new group at the same time, especially any senbatsu staples chosen.
