Single Keyakizaka46 7th [Ambivalent] (2018/08/15)

I don't like it so much right now, its not what I like but I found it interesting. I will give a definitive judgment after the MV. Visual and dance can make a big impact on this kind of song.
It's the 1st time that they try something like this so I don't want to be too harsh.

This single is very ambivalent so far . 3 songs, all differents.

 

Hmm, after a couple more listenings I am starting to like it a little less when usually the opposite happens. However, I'm very confident that if this song had an uptempo remix a lot of opinions would change on it. There's some good stuff going on here but it does feel too drawn out.

 

Maybe "I'm out" will save the day *hopefully*

 

I like the song. It's no Fukyowaon (that remains to be my fav song/single from 46/48 ever) but it's decent. Hiraishin was great. but I prefer Ambivalent over Eccentric or Mou Mori

 

Happy Aura should have been the A-Side.

Idk guys for me Student Dance remind me of Scoutman Nogi but more upbeat

Reports are that they went all-out, especially Techi, who was at her best. Big reaction from the crowd. Garasu was apparently particularly exciting. But at the very end, as Techi was leaving the stage, it seemed as if YuiPon might have been supporting her with a hand on her back. Nobody seemed overly worried by that, though, so perhaps it was nothing serious.

 

can't wait to see their ambivalent first live. we will get the sneak peak on JCD tomorrow right?

It's like a grungy, angsty, EDM rock song that has a bit of a retro touch. I first read the lyrics of the song and thought it was surprisingly different but hearing the actual song, wow! XD It's good they're experimenting though.

Don't get why they didn't do the same thing with Keyakizaka46's YT Account like they did with Nogizaka46's YT Account (Getting rid of the Geo-Block).

Ambivalent live is good.The floor must have been so hot and Techi was just rolling on it.

I actually really like Ambivalent better than Garasu and Kaze ni.

i more love ambivalent live performance than glass wo ware. but the camera really sucks.

for student dance MV i like the concept. here we go water element.
not the best single but at least they are doing some experiments for this single.

imo the ambivalent choreography is more intense than fukyouwaon and kaze ni

 

Does anyone has the Eng lyrics of Student Dance?
After watching the MV and looking at the Jap lyrics (altho not understanding all) it seems like the song is about idols again (just like Mou Mori)
In the MV, ppl with phones flashing = journalists/ fans
Habu passing secret messages and secret "letter" = for me, this kind of seems like someone is telling Habu to pass the "secrets" so its kind of like someone is controlling them (?)
Sugai and Akane fighting on the tables = internal disputes between idols
Uemura and two other members doing cute poses = doing what idols do, which is "cute poses" that catch the audience's attention
Koike and Neru + Techi and Risa scene = Koike and Neru seems to be having a good relationship (represents what the fans usually see), Risa controlling Techi like controlling a marionette(word also in lyrics) is the truth behind idols that the fans do not see

So overall, the song kind of seems to convey the message of how idols are being controlled to look fancy in front of the audience

At first I didn't like the song when it was just released through the radio but the MV made the song much more likable and more deep(?), which I guess many of Keyaki songs are like this lol
