IZ*ONE 1st single [Suki to iwasetai] (2019/02/06)

I finally sat down and listened to the full single and I must say that Sayonara B-side is really good. I don't really like the A-side all too much, but that one B-side really elevated the single for me. I also like the Neko song too. It's quite cute lol.

 

Gokigen Sayonara is also my favourite B-side ^^ Dance wo Omoidasumade hasn't quite gotten stuck in my head yet and I find it a bit plain, but I like the rest of the single a lot.

 

after listening to the single over a hundred times i still can't get into I want to be a cat,the performance was fun mostly because of nako's and yuri's cuteness but the song is boring imo

wow, Johnny's fans did it! They even managed to beat their new rival in their own game (including bulk buying) lol

Oricon should be updating with their weekly sales in a few hours, typically 6pm JST. Their gap should be larger, but regardless the first week sales for IZ*ONE surpassed huge expectations. Their 2nd Japanese single sales should be even much more.

 

We all know IZone is gonna be second in Oricon.
I'm glad they're doing so well. They are meant to be successful.

 

Considering they're still a Korean group and it's quite obvious their fanbase is a lot different from AKB, I think #2 is amazing.

I watched the Japan Debut Showcase yesterday and they pointed out how many female fans there were and Nako asked the girls and then the guys to give a shout (and then the girls again) and they were sooooo loud, there were so many of them. I generally loved the showcase a lot.

That kind of interesting. Iz*One attract different crowd than AKB48 but they follow similar pattern with AKB48.

 

i'm not that surprised since it is more or less the same selling strategy.

 

I know LVER CD, merch are available for sale in Japanese music stores. So I wonder is it the same case for Suki to iwasete in Korea?

is it just me but i saw a mistake there? did they get nervous perfoming in japan most prestigious music stage?

 

think Chaeyeon missed the timing in there... even the best have a few slip-ups. Probably the pressure of the moment got to them a bit, we have to remember they are still basically a rookie group that's been practicing together for a little over 5 months.

 

Not only that, they're also the first performer. No wonder they went nervous

As Titan3 mentioned, I think during the X formation where 2 members were supposed to sit at a time, chaeyeon was supposed to sit along with hyewon but missed the timing. Yujin also missed the timing a little bit (not as bad as chaeyeon) as she was supposed to sit along with chaewon at the opposite end. Good eye spotting noticing something was off -- I only saw it clearly when I watched it on a 50-inch tv lol.

I just got my copies and the wizone covers are great! Although the photos that come with the regular are imo better, the wizone photos are good too and you get the member that you want.
For those that got wizone cds, which member(s) did you get? I got sakura, nako, hyewon, chaewon, jo yuri and minju.
