Usually, idols lip-sync in first week and may sing over backing track in later weeks. Someone said they totally lip sync throughout La Vie en Rose promotion, someone said they mostly sang backing track. Someone said MBC (Music Core broadcaster) banned complete lip sync.

 

Hm, I can only judge from what I saw/heard on screen, which might not be reality. But I remember only one Lver version where they sounded live (one of their first ones, too). I basically don't mind playback singing, but it's such a pity that some of these girls proved to be decent singers in Produce and are not allowed to show it as members of IZ*One

I think it's only because you're a francophone (?) or at least have some familiarity with French why you thought that, but the majority of the audience for the song, like 90%, would be Asians with familiarity with the English word "rose" and practically no familiarity with the French word, even if the song title is borrowing the French idiom. So really the double-meaning is a non-starter. This includes me because I would have never thought to interpret "rose" as pink.
