I just finished 100 Million Yen Women, in which Rena is one of the main characters. I hope other people have seen it so I can talk about it haha Spoiler [HIDE] This is the first acting role of Rena's that I had seen and tbh I only watched it because of her, even though I've never really considered myself a Rena fan; although I never disliked her either. I simply respected her. It took me an episode or two to get into the story line as I thought it was quite strange. An unsuccessful author has five young and pretty beautiful women living with him. On top of that, they all pay him 1 Million Yen of rent each month. How could they afford that? I love how, slowly, they revealed every woman's background. Although Hitomi's (Rena's) background was the most trivial, I thought she was extremely charming. Midori was an orphan, who had just so happened to win the lottery at age 17. Minami was rich because she sold famous idols for sex. Yuki was the maid to an old rich guy, who became lonely and took her for a wife. Nanaka was an extremely famous actress that had been acting ever since she was a child. Hitomi's father was a famous author himself and she basically lived off of his never ending royalties. Hitomi was always sweet and kind, and I thought it was extremely cute how visibly jealous she got over Shin Michima (the main male character) paying extra attention to any of the other girls. She didn't get a dramatic storyline that included murder (Nanaka), prostitution (Minami), abuse (Midori), or straight up being a psycho (Yuki), but she was still my favourite character by the end. [/HIDE] This is the first Japanese drama I've ever watched where I was, in no way, disappointed or confused by the ending. I genuinely recommend this drama to anyone who's not seen it.
That was one of the first shows I watched when I subscribed to Netflix. Cat was my favorite character.
