For example, when I was chosen as senbatsu for last year's single 'Shitsuren, Arigatou,' for the first time in three years, rather than 'let's all work together!', I felt like there were some people who aimed to become the center, some people who wanted to increase their own popularity. I felt like, the thing people were aiming for is so different?

Of course, that is AKB48's original concept, but it also made me feel lonely.

They are all wearing the Aitakatta uniform .... which is fitting imho as that's the uniform which started the road to success and the uniform that of all the active members only Miichan has worn at that time
(I wonder if they made a uniform for all the members and it will be a thing tomorrow? probably not ... but it would be kinda awesome )
it's a pretty simple uniform the replicate though, only custom item is the necktie, so making 200 of those is doable

btw, the Miichan birthday committee posted a colour scheme for the lightsticks

only thing is, iirc Miichan explicitly stated she didn't want to perform 'Watashi wa Watashi' in the concert staff meeting video last year .... but then again she might have changed her mind.
(the problem with Watashi wa Watashi imho is, there is not much you can do as performer apart from singing it, in the RH performance you could kinda see Miichan felt uncomfortable just standing there, that's just my interpretation, but it will 'stop' the concert imho)

AKB48's last first term member, Minami Minegishi (28), will finally hold her graduation concert on May 22nd. Forty-Eight Times" interviewed Minegishi about her feelings before her graduation concert and her 15 years as an idol. The costume is Minegishi's latest favorite, and she wore it to last year's Record Award performance of "Even though we are far apart".

　--It's been about a year and a half since the announcement of your graduation in December 2019!

　I announced my graduation at a time when I myself was enjoying and liking AKB48.

　I really wanted to give back more to AKB48, and I wanted to communicate with the members more. However, even though I wanted to give back to the group, I didn't have the power to do so, so in the end I think I ended up making the announcement at a time that I decided on myself.

　However, I thought that it would be better to announce my graduation this way, rather than to stay with the group for a long time, thinking that I was reaching my limit, and then think "I hate AKB48" and quit.

　However, during the year and a half that it was postponed, I started to be invited to various programs, starting with "Girls' Mental" (a Fuji TV variety show), and along with that, I started to be able to talk about the fact that I hadn't been able to give a graduation concert in various places.

　I've had a lot more opportunities to receive attention than I did a year and a half ago, and I feel like I've been able to give back to AKB48 in more ways than one. I feel that the year of postponing the concert was not a waste of time. As a result, I'm glad there was a postponement period.

I cried alone on the day the postponement was decided.

　--What happened when the concert was postponed?

　In between rehearsals, we were told that the concert would be postponed for a while. The way they told me was very simple, and the people with me at the time were younger members and staff who came in later than me, so I felt a sense of regret that the final goal of 15 years of activity had been missed, and I felt that I no longer had anyone to share it with. ....

　I felt so alone that day, I had nowhere to put my heart and I cried alone because I felt so lonely.

　However, many juniors sent me messages saying "I'm so sorry", so I realised later that there were still people who were there for me.

　I couldn't believe that we were going to have a graduation concert on 22 May until we announced it to the world, and when it was officially announced, I finally felt that we were really going to do it.

The last and biggest middle-management duty

　The setlist has been finalised, there have been so many different phases and connections over the last 15 years, it was hard to fit everything in. There were so many songs that I wanted to play, but the main thing was to play the songs that are important to me in my history with the members that are important to me.

　I want this to be a concert that will definitely motivate not only myself, but also the current AKB48 members. I think it will also be a way of giving back to the current members, so that they will feel that it was a good thing that they continued their activities up to this point.

　I've been to many concerts and when I felt that I wasn't wanted, I didn't feel motivated. That's why I want as many members as possible to find the point where they can say "this is the song where I can do my best".

　And I'm sure there are parts of the song that fans who have been around for a long time, or who haven't seen us in a long time, will enjoy.

　I've always been known as a "middle-manager". Not separating the current and past AKB48, but "connecting the past with the present". I think it's the last and greatest duty of a middle manager.

"This is the first time I've ever seen a video of a woman with a baby.

My first impression was that there was a girl with the same name. It was the first time in my life that I had met someone with the same hiragana as mine, Minami, and I think we were both aware of each other. In fact, I had planned to give myself a stage name before the first day of the theatre in Akihabara (8 December 2005). I was originally named after a good character in the performing arts, so I kept it, but Miichan had a different name in mind. In the end we didn't have a stage name, but I remember Miichan telling me that she didn't want us to have the same name (laughs). (laughs) I've always had that kind of sensitivity.

Even before that, we were always in the same age group backstage at the theatres, and Miichan and I were usually with Atsuko (Maeda), Tomochin (Tomomi Itano), Risa Narita and Kamino, and that's how we started to get to know each other. But we got to know each other much better when we joined the same agency and became members of Northleaves.

Did you attend Miichan's graduation ceremony at junior high school?　Miichan started school in the first year of junior high school, and she often missed school for activities, so she didn't have many memories or anyone she was really close to, so she said "I don't see the point of going to the graduation ceremony" (laughs). (Laughs) I had just been invited to perform in Kohaku, and AKB had become a bit more recognised, so people would see me as a rarity, and I didn't want to go. I could understand that feeling, so I said, "Well, why don't we go?　(laughs). (laughs) She might have thought I was joking, but I went with Miichan's parents (laughs).

When you open up to each other and trust each other, you can't hide your feelings.　There are times when Miichan hits me a bit (laughs). The first time was at the concert when the first general election was announced. Miichan ran into the bathroom after the stage and locked herself in. She said. When I said "I know you don't like it and I don't like it either", she said "Me and Takamina are different!　I don't care about popularity, I'm just a person who was selected for a reason, so if it comes to a popularity contest, I won't participate! And so on. That happened to me.

And then... (laughs). It was just after Miichan turned 20 years old. At that time, the older sisters invited the grown-up members out for a drink. Miichan was the youngest, so she was always saying "I'm jealous!　That's not fair! I was jealous! When I was able to drink, we happened to go out for a meal together and I drank a little bit, but Miichan drank faster and faster while we were having fun talking. The next day we weren't so busy but I told her not to drink too much and she didn't want me to stop her from having fun. (laughs). I don't think he remembers, but he said, "That's why I don't want to drink with you!

There's another thing (laughs). I think it was at the Nippon Budokan concert, when her hair was very short, She was demoted to a research student, and I was on the main stage, but I had to go to the flower way... When we went out for dinner, She was really worried about people's eyes. When we went to dinner together, she said he was really worried about people's eyes on her. When I told her that this was the time to endure and that people weren't looking at her like that, she probably didn't remember that either, but she said, "You don't understand, Takamina! (laughs). (laughs) Miichan went home first and I was left crying by myself (laughs). That's one of my memories.

I don't think Minegishi Minami was a traditional idol, but... She used to say something like "weed spirit" in her catchphrase or something, but I think she really is like that. She's got a very weak mentality, but he doesn't give up or give up on anything. I think that's really amazing.

We've been through a lot, but all's well that ends well! I think so. It was a difficult time for Miichan, but I'm sure that the younger members who were with her learned a lot from it.

But I've been doing a lot of variety shows in the past year, and in a way I think it's been a gift from God. I think it would have been different if I hadn't had this year, and in a way I have "it".

I've been saying this with Atsuko and others for a long time, but Miichan is very funny and has always been our mood maker. No one hates her, but she's in a strange position, and I think it's been a year since people finally understood that. Miichan is even more interesting after graduation!　That's why I want you to be more free. Because of all the things you've been through, you've put some restrictions on yourself, like you're not good enough, so I think it's okay to take all that away and play as the real Minami Minegishi. That's how attractive she is.

What?　Are you going to stop playing Gachapin when you're 30?　Please hold a "Gachapin graduation ceremony" for him then!　He used to surprise me too, and I'd like to take part in that graduation ceremony too (laughs).

Minami Takahashi was born in Tokyo on April 8, 1991. She joined AKB48 as a first-year student in December 2005, became the group's general manager in August 2012, and graduated in April 2004. She is currently a member of NHK's "Shuto-area Joho Netadori! and Fuji TV's "Viking MORE". Yess definitely I think it was one of the best graduation I ever saw it really had me crying the last half of it seeing all those memories and members that Graduated. It was such a beautiful performance I thought they would have a shocking announcement but maybe they’re saving for her theater performance but anyways Thank you for your 15 1/2 years Mimi-Chan

but Miichan's career as a video game, not glossing over her downfall in 2013 ....

btw, the story of Yuko sneaking into Love Shugyo was that it's one of her favourite songs and she always wanted to perform it
(but the director must have been in on it and didn't want to spoil the surprise, so it's mainly closeups)

btw .... you might have expected Miichan to center every song ... she didn't ... and still got all the screentime she deserved
for the rest ... plenty of screentime for the senpai, not just Yukirin, but also Shiichan and Myao (who tend to be buried somewhere in the back)
