It's been quite a while now, and I still don't t see Oricon Style updating its sales figures for Beginner, does someone have the up-to-date numbers?
The last figure O.S. has up was the 25,452, which by looking at S48 wiki, was the figure for 11/08. Don't the ranking sites update every week? [wonder]

^ A pity Arashi had other four singles in the top ten, while AKB48 has only one more According to http://www.oricon.co.jp/rank/js/m/ it is 826,989, probably missing one update.

AKB prefers quality over quantity Anyway, Sakura no Shiori is on the 11th place and Chance no Junban will have one week to break into top 10 too.

I think that was first week's sales, since it was all over the news that Beginner sold ~870K copies in its first two weeks. Oricon is lazy, the pros at S48 can replace them.

Don't worry guys, looking at the quality I'm sure the 'shampoo in the eyes' is just a parody of Beginner. Nobody would release a single called shampoo in the eyes would they??

Still anticipating AKB to break 1million sales this year.

I love Beginner! When I first listened to it, I knew for sure, even though I'm a guy, I will learn their dance ^-^. I like how now AKB49's songs have more varieties to it. Unlike songs like Baby Baby Baby where it's a fast and happy speed, Beginner is more like a "Yeah, This is how we doo it!" kinda song. I REALLY REALLY like Beginner. I have to listen to these songs several times a day or I won't feel comfortable.
