But I think that I would still stay with AKB is she lefts.

I would most likely stay with AKB48 because I have a decent sized group of people (5 or 6) I like just as much as my oshi. Idol groups will always be groups in my eyes, so even if the group's sound changes due to a powerful person graduating, I will follow the group forward and hope for the best.

I'd be super seriously upset. But there are also other girls I like. I think I would follow them, stick with AKB and just watch Miichan's solo career.

Yeah, I'd still support AKB48 because I like AKB48 as a whole... [nod]

However, I'd follow Miichan's new career as tenaciously as I can. I'll follow her wherever she goes. Give her all the support I can give... feed her when she's hungry, carry her stuff for her if allowed.
If it's not the entertainment industry, then I'd fly to Japan and go looking for her... [cool]
(unless of course, if she's married, then maybe that would be a good time to quit...) *Sigh*, that thought is depressing...

It's hard to say. I'm still dealing with the fact that Ai-chan is graduating at the end of this year, but MM is a totally different group than AKB.

If Mariko did graduate, which I know will be anytime soon, I'll probably sink into this weird rage depression mode where I don't feel like watching/seeing/hearing any of the songs/videos. That's what happened when I heard that Ai-chan was gonna leave. I totally avoided hearing/watching any MM stuff.

But then I'll pick up the pieces of my shattered heart and resume the usual stuff and support my idol and wish her all the best. AKB48 is a big group, so another oshi could appear. But I guess, it just won't be the same again. [think]

I don't really know, I'll probably be a fan but not as crazy.
It depends on how much I would miss Mariko and if Kojiharu can take her spot (and right now she's not even close to taking Mariko's spot XD)
But yeah I'll still be a fan, but I won't find the group enjoyable without my oshi

I probably would, but it would seem sorta weird at first. Maybe I need to know akb48 better. I just recently started liking them. I kinda wish I knew of them before.

Of course, I don't even have to think to answer a question like that :3 Although I'm a new fan I wouldn't care if my favourite member (Itano Tomomi) graduated because I still love the overall group 3333

It's the same with popularity, my overall idol BoA had a heavy decline in popularity when all she was doing was supporting a fellow K-pop artist of the same company and despite all the hell she got I never stopped supporting her. It's the same with AKB48, no matter what happens I'll always support them and the graduated members no matter what they decide to do 3333

I'm not one of those people who just jumps on the "bandwagon"

I have to admit that my oshi obsession is somewhat bigger than AKB as a group fan-ship.
If Tomochin leaves then for sure I will stop buying singles, but I will most likely keep eye on AKB doings.

I'm going to have to restate what some other people in this thread have said--I would still follow AKB, but it just wouldn't be the same. I suppose one of my "secondary" oshimen could step up if Nattsumii graduated, so maybe that would make it better. It'd still be disappointing, of course.

And then again, it would also depend on the circumstances under which she graduated. If it was a firing like some other members have gone through, then I might feel worse about it than if she had an official graduation ceremony. (I joined the fandom just after Erepyon's graduation, so even though I liked her after hearing about her, I don't really miss her because I didn't know her that well. So basically I haven't had any experiences with any members graduating yet.)

And of course, I'd still continue to support her in whatever she did after she graduated, if she continued on in show business ^_^ I think that's pretty much a given.

If she left, well...I can deal with that...
when AKB48 are as of a whole...
But Team K would never be the same again...
I mean about Team K, Sayaka's such a big part of it...
if she left, it just won't even feel like Team K anymore =(
And besides that I'll still have Takamina and Yuko to stalk =DD

On the other hand, if my 2nd fav takamina leaves, I think I would leave as well =X
For me, she's one of the members I just cannot see leave AKB48.
She's too big a part of it...
If she ever does graduate, it'll feel like that's the end of AKB48 itself.
Maybe that's just my opinion, but that's how I feel.

Whereas if my 3rd fav yuko leaves AKB48, I'll be really really sad.
Yuko's always soo enthusiastic and cheerful in everything she does...
You just won't feel the same energy level from AKB48 anymore without her...
It'll be like a HUGE hole in AKB48 =X
But I guess if she left, I'll still support AKB for the sake of takamina and sayaka :3

I love AKB as a whole but, i can't imagine if my oshi is gone...
My oshi is takamina and mayu~ Although I still like other members, so maybe I will have to deal with it even if it meant my oshi is gone~ [wonder]

I like AKB48 as a whole but it'll be weird following the group as I am now.

My oshimen is Sayaka but I like the other girls like Mariko, Maachan (she's leaving very soon ), Sae, Yuko, Haruna and Mocchi. Heck, I might as well keep on going as you can tell that I like many members

Team K wouldn't be the same without Sayaka but I'd still follow the group.
Now, if others started to leave, say, Mariko (and we know she will eventually considering her age as her birthday is today [party]) or Yuko, I'll still follow the group but a hole will be there and my interest may drop and eventually I may also stop following the group. Notice how these girls are in their early to mid-20's now which is the age that management may "ask" them about their "future plans" unrelated to AKB.

Now, if management and the girls are correct that the group was "originally intended" to last 10 years and it's the 5th year now, I guess by 2014, we all better brace ourselves if the group decides to call it quits and disbands [worried]

In the next month or so, I would miss Maachan

the only reason i will not like akb48 is when akb48 itself disbanded

and her 48 friends are people who chiyuu grow with..

As long as there is somebody else to intensively follow, I guess I'm fine. Oshima Yuko is my oshi and even if she would leave, Mayu is younger than her so I guess she'd stay still there. And I'm already fond of some kenkyuuseis who will make it later to be my oshis when everyone else is gone.
I really want to follow AKB even if my favorites graduated, because I just love the awesomeness of this group.

When Koharu graduated from Momusu, I kinda stopped following the group for a while. Just recently when they got new members, I've been into them again.
But in AKB there is so many girls to choose from, I guess I'd at least keep up with the CD releases.

^ same here, the reason i like akb and joining this forum because acchan. so if acchan graduate i'll follow her.
that doesn't meant i don't like akb, i like the song and other member like takamina. but, still my most favorite is acchan.
so for me no acchan, no akb too..
