Thank you for reminding me a good reason to be thankful for Mahopyon's 0 sold out slots. Hopefully the criteria for the center will remain the same...

 

Just a question, does this single's types A, B, etc contain any event ticket? Like those easy handshake events pre-Covid times?

I find applying for the theater ed too bothersome, and the limited/regular types tend to have nicer covers, plus it comes with a photo.

The limited editions contain an “application lottery serial number ticket”. (You can probably find unwanted theater eds on eBay lol.)

With 'Shitsuren, Arigatou' online talks were offered with one talk per application (there was a lottery but only really for the most popular members, I easily won 3 talks with Komi). However with 'Ne mo Ha mo Rumor' it was very different, you could apply for an online group talk with 3 members. You could choose which group to apply for but it was a lottery with only a limited number of winners (I think about 500 in total), however there was also an option to win merch instead (I didn't bother applying).

With 'Moto Kare desu' it was different again, I've found the list of lottery options which were available:

• Exclusive live show for 600 people at a venue in the Kanto region on 11/12
• A personal autograph session - you can bring a personal item to be signed by a member (again on 11/12) for 300 winners

Needless to say, none of these were of any use to fans living overseas. Who knows though what might be offered this time!

What a great boost for Shinobu, she went from 11/48 (motokare 5th) to 18/48
but overall doesn't seem to improve a lot.

 

I'm also glad that this single has caught up with sales for Moto Kare desu, despite the earlier restrictions. A difference of 0.03% is really not worth mentioning.

 

Even better when you look at the absolute number too! 594 slots sold for Hisarippu vs 557 slots for Motokare by the 5th round is quite the improvement

Summarised the differences in slots sold by the 5th round for Hisarippu vs Motokare (CMIIW!)
Naachan, Berin, and Yuiyui predictably gained the most since their max. slots have increased, but happy for Onishi and Mogi as well!

 

I'm a bit worried about our 17ki girlies... I just hope people are prioritizing the most popular girls first and then will apply for them later...

 

Dance singles are fine for AKB to challenge themselves, but those probably aren't sustainable long term due to how taxing they could be on the Senbatsu girls.
Considering Nemohamo/Motokare were about attracting old fans who left them back to the group (lyrics-wise), I'm curious on how AkiP would make this one out to be.

 

1. Girls have different number of slots, so it's not comparable from one single to another;
2. Nearly sold out slots is important. Saho and Shitao are not the same;
3. Rules are not the same;
4. Only resales matter.

 

It is a shame they don't perform older dance heavy singles much either... I love Beginner, RIVER and UZA a lot, especially the latter gets hardly ever performed. I guess it takes more practice for those songs, compared to Koichun or Hebirote
