as much as i love watching this awesome show, i find it really hard to enjoy the shogi episodes specially when i know "very little" Japanese and the next one is another shogi episode

Is there a regular person that does this? When I checked out this forum like half a year ago I noticed someone would translate things from akbingo. If not I'll put up translations of all the questions (or ones I can read, I don't know all kanji yet). I usually translate the questions and email them to a friend so I can just copy and paste it here.

Maeda vs Itano - good friends battle

Maeda's questions to Itano

On Maeda's question 3 Itano explained she doesn't like getting shot from below. Kiyoto commented "So you don't have confidence in your nostrils"
On Itano's question 2 Maeda explained she doesn't hate Takahashi but she doesn't want to be her.
On Itano's question 7 Sata commented he doesn't really care but if the needle goes over the line then Maeda will have to apologize to his wife.
When it goes past the line and he yells at her "Apologize to my wife and mother!"
He says again later "Show me Maeda's address later. I'll send her 10 pizzas" and Kiyoto tells him "You're even ugly inside (in the heart)"


Kojima's questions to Miyazaki

1. (not too sure) You have a lot of things at home that you've borrowed from other members.
2. Honestly, after a recording where you bad-mouthed your senpai you feel it's bothersome to go apologize to them.

5. [can't read one word, but my guess] On your blog you write about taking care of captain Takahashi but really she's the one taking care of you.

Miyazaki's questions to Kojima

On Kojima's question 4 Sata asks Maeda if she's smelled it too. She explained she did when she went recording on location and was wearing gloves, she touched his socks and later smelled it on her gloves. (which happens to be the recording they show at the end of the show).

Just to clarify some unknowns that sangackt had.

Maeda -> Itano
1. Of the dogs kept by AKB members, you think yours is the cutest.
2. You've had more and more chances to eat delicious food (overseas for example) but you don't quite understand why people think it's delicious.

4. Compared to Bad Boyz, Ariyoshi makes use of Kojima Haruna better.
5. Lately you've been into Twitter but your tweets are interesting so it was inevitable. (Myao means that the reason Haruna is into Twitter is because her tweets are so interesting)
6. Since the beginning of the year, you haven't cleaned your room at all.
7. You're honoured to be the same age as the table tennis player Fukuhara Ai, but being the same age with Oshima Yuko doesn't make sense.

coco, Itano's dog, is certainly one of cutest dog I have ever seen. I remember that picture in her blog that shows her dog with a birthday cake and her dog with two stuffed animals. Really cute, looks like a doll. I understand why Maeda wants to ask question #1. Maeda's dogs are cute too but coco I think is cuter than Maeda's army of dogs.

By the way, did anyone here notice there was only a small row of girls sitting in the bleachers at the start of the Atsuko-Itano match, but then suddenly extra girls appeared?

Yeah. If you look closely at one of the close-ups, you can see girls entering and sitting down. I wonder why they only had some of them at first. [wonder]
