Reinyan is currently in Taiwan promoting an upcoming film she will star in, 恐怖の中身 (Kyōfu no Nakami, The True Contents of Fear; Chinese title 恐怖的真相).

As you can guess from the title, it's a horror film. She will play a mysterious girl named Yao (Chinese name), and all her lines will be in Mandarin! She says that she is excited more than nervous. She also says that because there are currently no 48 Group members acting outside of Japan, she wants to forge a new path with this role.

It seems like it has not actually started filming yet; filming will take place in Taiwan in November. It will be released in June 2017 throughout Asia, including Japan, Taiwan, China, Thailand, and India.

The staff were clearly not expecting so many fans to swarm her, and they seemed so lost as to what to do. But Reinyan is a pro and handled it great.

Clearly she was the biggest star here. They made her stand next to the directors and other cast members as they were interviewed, seemingly just so they could have more time to take pictures of her. I felt kinda bad for her, since she seemed to be getting tired (you can see her lip twitch a little, maybe from smiling too much) (thanks Taiwanese cameramen for such close-up shots that I can see that ). They also made her and the other guests hold microphones...

Good news if you speak Chinese or Korean: there are subs in those languages!

The two actors for the Japanese and Korean guys are also from Itoh Company, which is why Reinyan is in it. It was cute to see her in this silly exaggerated idol role. She also said it was fun for her to do this kind of role, since she usually plays more serious ones.

It wasn't too bad at the airport. The other times when AKB members go to Hong Kong they always have a group of body guards otherwise they will not get out of airport. Funny thing is SKE48 will also be in Taiwan tomorrow.

Just announced her graduation.

Well, losing the captaincy was a sign of it. Not to mention that back at last year's SSK, she said that it was her last. Plus she didn't make it in Kohaku senbatsu.

Now all three of them are gone.

Agree that she had a pretty good idol career . Always thought she was one of the most underrated members (She was one of the reasons why I enjoyed the Ue Kara Mariko MV). Plus also like seeing the interactions with MaiMai (as shown on AKBINGO) during MaiMai's last days with the group.

JW, Are her and MaiMai still close?

 

I just caught wind of this going through my Twitter feed. Hearing this makes me sad, but like others have said, she really has had a good idol life. I wish her much success in her acting career.

 

Aw I was always rooting for her. I've watched some stageplay recently included Danganronpa and she was pretty good there.

Hoping to see her appear in more movies.

I was hoping she might stay another couple of years as she seemed quite settled and happy with NMB so this surprised me. Sad, but at the same time I wish her a great future She was an excellent idol over those 10 years!

Loved her since AKBINGO when she did the marathon with MaiMai and wouldn't cross the finish line without her And I agree with ForrestFuller, she was excellent in Ue Kara Mariko.

Does anyone know her plans after graduation?
