Never heard of Kagoshima but adorable! Represent your prefecture girly~

 

I've kinda more or less fallen for Karin, so I feel like the least I can do is to translate her entries from the Team 8 mobile blog (now that I finally found it). I'm by no means perfectly fluent in Japanese (not a native English speaker either), but I'll try my best to share her thoughts to the world lol. I'll maybe start translating Yuurii's entries as well.

So yeah, not sure if I'll translate some of the older entries. Keeping up with the new entries shouldn't be a problem since they write once or twice a week. Please tell me if there's something in the translations that makes you confused or could be improved.

1月25日の夜、リクエストアワーに出演させていただきました！
In the evening of January 25th, I had the privilege of performing in the Request Hour!

38位　制服の羽根 私は制服の羽根を披露できませんでした。 チーム8の中で16人しかステージにでれないときにでれるようになりたいです！ そのために歌もダンスも、もっともっと努力したいと思います。

I couldn't show the wings of my school uniform.
I want to be able to appear on the stage at times when it's only 16 members of Team 8!
In order to do that, I want to put more and more effort to my singing and dancing.

11位　47の素敵な街へ ほぼ全員で出演できました！ しっかり自分の『かーごっしま』というところを言えました。笑　 そして、11位という素晴らしい順位でビックリ(・・; )しました！ パフォーマン終わったあと涙がとまりませんでした（＞＜。） 本当に嬉しかったです！ 投票してくれたみなさん本当に、ありがとうございました！

リクエストアワーのときに『鹿児島』というカチューシャをつけていたら、
When I was putting on the "Kagoshima" headband at Request Hour,

宮脇咲良さんの近くにいたスタッフさんが、鹿児島の子だーって気づいてくれて、 宮脇さんに鹿児島の子がいるよーって言ってくださったんです。
A staff person that was near to Miyawaki Sakura-san, also noticing Kagoshima's girl, said "Kagoshima's girl is here" to Miyawaki-san.

そしたら宮脇さんが「一緒に写真撮ろう♪」っていってくださって、 一緒に写真を撮っていただきました！
Then, Miyawaki-san giving me a "Let's take a photo together♪", I got to take a photo together!

とっても嬉しかったです！！！！！
I was very happy!!!!

でもかりん、結構な人見知りで、自己紹介すらできなかった(T_T)
But Karin, because of being quite shy, wasn't able to do a self-introduction(T_T)

私の携帯でも写真を撮っていただいたのですが、ブログに載せていいか聞いてないのでブログに載せらないです(*_*）

Well well the topic is...
concerning the origin of Karin's name!

香るような鈴の音のように穏やかで優しい女の子に育ってほしい
Gently like sweet smell, as with the sound of the bell, I hope you grow up into a kind girl (note: kanji of 香 stands for "aroma, scent" and 鈴 for a "bell")

鈴という字には『幸福』という意味もあるので、 幸せさな人生をおくってほしい！
As the kanji of 鈴 has also a meaning of "happiness", I want you to have a happy life!

という願いがこめられています。
Those are the wishes I'm holding.

2月15日のAKB48劇場で、みゆゆんの生誕祭がありました(^ー^)！
Miyuyun's brithday celebration was held on February 15th at the AKB theatre.

私は初めて生誕祭というものに参加したですがー!
It was my first time participating in such a thing!

みゆゆんの自己紹介のときにファンの皆さんが『みゆゆん誕生日おめでとう』という紙を持っていて、びっくり( 　o　 )
During Miyuyun's self-introduction, the fans held papers saying "Happy birthday Miyuyun" and it got me surprised ( 　o　 )

そして、「青空のそばにいて」のときに、雪の絵をファンの方が持っていてなんか感動しちゃって涙がポロポロでてきました。
Also, during "Aozora no soba ni ite", they were holding pictures of snow and I was so moved that my tears were rolling in large drops.

そしてー「希望的リフレイン」がおわったあとにケーキを運ぶ仕事を、、、 ななせと香鈴がまかされて、ドキドキしました！
でも、ちゃんとろうそくに火もつけられたし良かった(o゜▽゜)
Also, after finishing with "Kibouteki Refrain", as the task of carrying the cake... was entrusted to Nanase and Karin, I was nervous!
Though, I was relieved since we could properly lit the candles too.
