I gave birth to my first child the other day.
It's a healthy girl, and both mother and child are healthy.
At the moment of birth, it was a truly strange feeling, and I thought, "Baby is so small..." but, no, when I think about this baby being in my stomach, it's so big...! I was surprised, but more than anything, I was moved by the fact that she was born safely, a miracle that is not something to be taken for granted.
Our family has grown and I'm still feeling a bit unsettled, but from now on, my husband and I will work together to do our best to protect this life!
