I decided to participate in the general election this year too. Last year I was 35th place at the preliminary result and at the event everyone gave me a wonderful present as 67th place. Hometown gourmet Pork buns from 551 For this past year I’ve been feeling nothing but “gratitude.” The biggest thing that I was able to do was rank in in the sousenkyo. In the preliminaries I ranked at 35th, and in the real one I ranked 67th which in itself is amazing, but because of it I’ve had more opportunities to appear at events and I’ve gotten more people who come see me at handshake events. And all of it is because of my fans. I think that because of the sousenkyo results more people have learned about who I am. I also can’t forget about being allowed to appear on the cover of a magazine. There were four of us at the shoot, but when the staff said “It’s for the cover” we all got so excited (lol). They even made a poster out of it, it truly was a thing of “happinesserika.”* I’ve become a kennin member with Team 4. To look forward to this, I want to steal my senpais good points and use them to make Team 8 more well known. My goal for this year is to enter senbatsu for a single. For “Jabaja,” three members from Eight were selected, which really got me fired up. This year I want to rank higher than last, and earn my ticket to senbatsu. If that becomes reality, I’ll do my best with my full strength for the sake of Eight and for AKB48.
