We promised to focus our next writing on Okumoto catching liars. First of all, we appreciate the support we have received in face of the truly Herculean task we decided to put on our shoulders. To be perfectly honest, the initial reactions were rather mixed - ranging from warm and appreciative ("yatta! Motto motto!") to slightly less receptive and enthusiastic ("I only knows ogury-chan, gime oguri") to not receptive and overly enthusiastic ("bollocks!! GIFT. ME. MORE. MURAMOTO. he's gud!!") and many more. Nevertheless, there is nothing we would exchange for our dignity and we will therefore proceed with fulfilling our promises.

But before everything, we have to discuss a little bit the title of this work and its relation to the work's content. Understanding completely we find ourselves in the 21st century and that the brain of your normal Sato Shiori or Yokoyama Yui gets excited by nothing but violence, blood, sex and other cheap and dishonourable things, we feel it necessary to write the following disclaimer - the present work will not feature any nonsense like Okumoto riding a motorbike shooting turtles from a rocket launcher (or turtle launcher? What a story). Our stories aim to educate and enlighten. (Okumoto herself is the first who should be reading them, by the way. Can she even read?) That being said, the seemingly straightforward title is in fact not as clear you might think. Let's look at it closer now:
    1. liars - here is no discussion, we all know who we mean by that. Like oshi, like her fans. And you thought hips don't lie.
    2. catching - well, it's getting tricky from now on. Let's call spade a spade and say we just have no idea what this is supposed to mean. This work is a work in progress and at the moment we just have no clear plan about the nature of "catching". We can only promise you will be notified at the rightest of times. (Come on, this is AKB. They announce a new single and they haven't even decided the title yet. No one knows. Sometimes not even the senbatsu is announced. Just the release date. Which is the only date no one even cares about. They release the MV a month before that. Hold the handshake events months after that. Still - everyone gets excited! Be like those people! YOU, BE COOL!)
    3. Okumoto - here we have no choice but to admit our own fuck-up. The identity of the wildly unpopular Okumoto became inexcusably obfuscated by various suspect allusions and as a result turned into a lamentable source of confusion for everyone, not excepting the author himself. The fact that the blame lies completely with us was so painfully obvious, that we didn't even try to shift it on Nagi. Which is exactly what Okamoto... would do... or Okumoto?... Damn it! See? We therefore clarify that by Okumoto we mean the meany Carp Girl (but not crap girl, please) with a phone in her hand, and by Okamoto the charming, noble young lady from the city of SERIKA. At least for now. We like to suffer.
Another thing demanding clear explanation is probably the most popular one. We already mentioned the reception to our plans - but the amount of messages we got concerning this very issue only was simply incredible. We felt like we had been living with Dursleys who had prevented us from receiving any letter all this time, until even they were overwhelmed by the sheer power of Nagi's fanbase - which is obviously what we've been just talking about. We had hardly heard of a single Nagi fan until then, suddenly there was a whole legion banging on our doors, begging us to feature Nagi in the future works as well. The messages tugged at our heartstrings and we were deeply moved by them. Nagi must be a good girl. (There was only one thing that truly puzzled us. Every single one of the authors wrote about "an handshake event". Suspicious.)

So, yes, we can confirm Nagi will continue to be one of our main sources of interest from now on as well. She is a pillar of this saga. She is essentially what the two pillars in AKB theatre are - flat excuse us, that was Okumoto hacking our account. We meant iconic (Okumoto chuckling). Ugh, be more respectful, Okumoto - although you're tall, you're not exactly a pillar yourself (more Okumoto chuckling)... oh come on, your childish jokes...

Anyway, we're running out of space so we'll have to leave Okumoto's story for next time.
