Today was a really long day for every STU fan, member and staff.

Congrats to all the STU girls!

Just only been 10 months since their debut, even though the theater couldn't make it in time but they pulled through with the limited performances they were able to do. It was really down to gritty hard work in HS events, SR's, local tv shows, tissue missions and random local music festivals to make this happen.

With now Setobingo, Imousu and Chidori Roke now properly broadcast weekly on full fledged their popularity will only start to build up more for the next big battle...aim to SSK rank in this year!

The journey to their dream has finally begun.

1st day sales: 116,980 is more than enough!

 

I can't wait to see the 1st week sales, I hope it's going to beat the 200k mark. This is such an amazing start for the girls.

I've been listening to all the songs, I really like all the b-sides. There's no songs I actually dislike but if I had to rate them:

Kurayami
Dareka ga itsuka suki da to itte kureru hi made
Kataomoi no iriguchi
Setouchi no Koe
Hizenryoku
Bokutachi wa Sindbad da
Omoidasete yokatta (not on this single but for comparison sake)
STU48 (Okay it's last because it got way too stuck in my head, listening to all 8 versions in a row lol)

But again I really don't dislike any of the songs. I think they're all pretty good.

Nice to see the sales passed 100k. =)

 

I personally was pretty disappointed by the B-sides. Kataomoi no Iriguchi was the only one (excluding STU48 which is one of my favorite songs anyway) I immediately liked. Dareka ga is too autotuned, but is not bad. Hizenryoku is really... I was expecting more. It's slow and kind of boring, but the lyrics are good which saves the song for me (even though it's my oshi's song, I can't like it too much. sigh...). As for Bokutachi, I already kind of like it better. But it's not an amazing so either.
Kurayami, though, is still a masterpiece in my opinion.

 

The B sides all sound like I have listened to them before. I didn't dislike them but I expected more to be honest. I don't think I will listen to them a lot. If only Akimoto-sensei didn't write the B sides like writing extra songs.
Once again it made me realise that there is a clear discrimination between Keyaki and 48's sister groups.
But Kurayami is an amazing song. It's both beautiful and touching, and the melody and the lyrics are both perfect.
I can easily say it's my favorite debut song out of all 48 Groups.
Now STU has a soft ballad (Setouchi no Koe), a genki idol song (Omoidasete Yokatta) and a kinda dark message song (Kurayami)
So I'm pretty contented

They passed 100k? Wow, that's nice! Hoping that they keep the ship afloat with their singles. Hoping for a legit pirate song for their next one. Sinbad is the best B-Side for me. Dareka ga itsuka suki da to itte kureru hi made is cute too, somehow reminds me of 04-05 shoujo anime ED/OP song.

Speaking of anime, is there a chance for One Piece ED tie-in since they're a sea based group? I think they would fit right in.

So am I wrong or all they promotional company turned into 20k sales?
Not bad but it depends on how much they spent.
Anyway increased awareness of STU is priceless. Is it even increased? wwww Any news?

 

Also worth mentioning, Oricon is the only sales chart many media outlets look at. So coming first on Oricon daily or weekly means a nice bit of free publicity.
