Mirurun has a little lisp so this is why she pronounce some words like this, but that doesn't change anything, really. And I think you guys forget that they're idols, from what I've seen from the other girls in 48G, barely any girl sings really well, so we should judge them by their own standards. Mirurun, in 48G standards, is a member who sounds good and who has confidence when performing. Sure, she is not amazing but keep in mind that the members don't get singing training. So, she really works hard to sing this way by her own efforts. She is deserving to be in the vocal teams considering she sings better than most of the 48G members.

Team A really need to have someone with Max slots like the other teams.

Mako's selling rather well isn't she? In contrast to the previous single

I think team A is doing fine, they have 4 members selling pretty well (Yuihan, Naanya, Hiwatan, Yukarun) maybe they'll give max slots to Yuihan and Naanya. I guess team 4 is doing the best of all, and team 8! I'm just happy that my team 8 favs (Yamada Nanami, Okabe Rin, Kuranoo Narumi) are all doing well. >_< <3 (Next time I hope management give an opportunity to Rinrin too .___.) Satone and Kira are also doing well between the KKS, nice!

Now the only I need to hope is that people actually pay for Ryouha's slots, and my other team S babies will pick up the pace in resale.

They pay, but it cant helped because if one ppl cant pay the sold out become *, and couple ppl dont pay the sold out gone, that why alot member become 0 sold out in resales especially the member that not sold out all their slot because no new demand for them in resales :glare:

Suddenly vocals matter in an idol group? I guess Jurina should stop being lead since she can't sing. If you want trained good singers it's time to look at actual artists and not idols.

Mirurun is good for the group, period. She has more talent than a lot of the other girls in there as well. Though I guess she can't be a lead singer since someone taking ~vocal lessons~ doesn't think she deserves it lol.

I at least am not saying that they're bad singers or something like that. Many are great in fact, for someone without(?) formal training. However, they're not the best in the business, and that I think was the point that was trying to be made. A lot of people rave about how great this and this member is, but to be honest, on a more professional level they're quite average.

And really, Jurina as an example? SKE48 is a dance and performance heavy group, and seeing 46/48G senbatsu's often have 16+ people they don't need as many good singers as they need dancers and performers. However, when taking the lead vocals in a vocal heavy song, such as Mushi no Ballad, Nakinagara, paper airplane song, or Itoshiki Natasha (just examples), you need a strong and solid voice with good emotional expression. However, is it's something that's more about energy, like Heart Gata Virus, Hebirote, Flying get etc. then being an average singer will work out just fine.

They're not bad, but not the best ever either. They're idols, and in the group, there are both bad and good singers, for being idols. And that's fine. Like, it's the same in KPOP. There are people who are good, but compared to especially Broadway singers they're not too impressive. It's different scenes, and really, I would love to see professional singers try to pull off an idol routine. It would be hilarious. Like, the way I sing during my lessons and the way I sing when covering JPOP is completely different for a reason.

    Hope that made sense lol.

I do recall Iwata Karen saying after her AKBINGO performance that she hadn't received any vocal training, it only started when she was doing musicals.
We can definitely assume then that most 48G members aren't receiving any sort of vocal lessons. The ones who lucked out there are the ones who took vocal lessons in their pre-48 days, or the ones doing musicals/stage plays perhaps.
It's a little sad because I can only imagine just how good some of these girls can be if they were to receive proper training. But ah, I guess it's no use to mope over that, I doubt it's likely to change.

What matters is that they're trying the best they can with what they have. I'm quite excited to hear what genre of song the vocal team gets.

Pulling out the HKT documentary again, there was a line the theater manager said about getting info and recommendations from the vocal coaches and dance coaches when it comes time to choose senbatsu members. So... I guess they would have to get some type of vocal training, although it may be less about singing well live, and more geared towards making a good recording.

Ah, true, I forgot about that. I'm inclined to agree with you on that mark, maybe it's just enough for them to put out a decent recording when it comes to singles and albums, rather than reallyyyy working them to the bone. Their dance coaches certainly seem a lot stricter. Also, yeah, like moonlit said, it's probably a very generalised form of vocal training, rather than specialised. It'll be a lot of work, with many girls. I'm not sure how many coaches there are to begin with.

I won't get nasty but Jurina is not a lead singer. A lead singer would be Sayanee in Must Be Now. She is basically singing the song solo but with girls backing her up. Plus, I didn't say she doesn't deserve (deserve as in Stage48's deserve) to be a lead singer. I just said she shouldn't be one from a "professional" perspective. Other than that, everything else is as LadyNezumi said.
    ------
I think they do train some of the girls (maybe the senbatsu members more than others). I remember seeing a Nemousu episode where Naachan were being trained to sing Mushi no Ballad. She first sang the song "her way" and the vocal coach taught her the certain points that she need to focus on and how to get those out [based on her voice type]. It was sort of a one-to-one teaching.

looking at the destiny of member with good vocal (oomori miyu, masuda yuka, iwasa misaki) to have good vocal ability is clearly not AKB priority. A plus, but not game changer

As Flying Get is my favorite AKB song I hate the nowadays' performances of it. Its both not high energy nor vocally pleasant. Not to mention they always perform the short version. When I watched the BS stream of Team K's version (at ssk) and at Takamina's grad I felt very uncomfortable by how bad it sounded.

OTT ,,, yeahhh .. the Kami Song like Flying Get .. but they performed like just trash song ... my favorite best FLying Get performance was "Japan Record Awards" with original senbatsu (except Paruru was replacing Jurina) back then ..

Hopefully the short PVs are out in the next couple of days. It's already less than a month to the single's release (in Love Trip's case, the PVs were released 29 days prior to the single release date).

And Nogizaka just unveiled their PV and have thrown out the bsides.

I guess next week is AKB's turn, so they won't clash much.

All the innuendo-analysis coming in 3...2...1... :fp:

I enjoyed the song far more when I wasn't forced to associate it with another Sakura-center-push project.
