Japanese fans were discussing the possibility of Sasshi becoming a successor of female announcer who left What's the Difference. Sasshi was supposed to appear in the next episode, but she wasn't shown in the preview, which never happened before. but it looks like it's more probable that it'll be Kawata Hiromi.

I liked Sashihara Kaiwaizu more than Sashikoku tbh. Is there anything planned to replace this show yet? Or is it the END?

 

Yeah, I thought Kawaizu was overall her best show. They had some outstanding guests. I couldn't get into Sashikoku because I generally can't get into VTR heavy shows. I guess that's the end of the Sasshi and Yamazaki tandem.

 

looks like it's the end for Sasshi's shows in this Wednesday night time slot... I think I've read on 2ch that there supposed to start some other non-Sasshi talk show with Bananaman, OgiYahagi and Audrey in this slot, so the rumors, that SashiKoku will end, started to float around about the same time when her new Sunday show "SML" with Lily Franky was announced. since SML is supposed to be with Sasshi and Lily only, people were saying that AKB members have lost another place on TV.

 

I see, it's a pity. Thanks @fatrain! I'm looking forward to SML.

speaking of Takamina... a famous Sasshi's fan blog, that posts various analytical articles about Sasshi, has made a post with a collection of quotes from various celebrities praising Sasshi. I've translated most of them before, but there was one from Takamina that I don't remember.
it's an old quote from AKB column in Shukan Playboy (15.08.24).

"I think Sashihara's potential is of monster class. If we speak of AKB group's "genius", it's Kojima Haruna-san. But I think Sashihara can match even that Kojima-san. @fatrain That was a Takamina column where she would talk about one member per article. That was only a snippet of the article. Takamina also talked about the amount of hard work and perseverance Sasshi had in order to win over the hearts HKT members and fans and the talent of Sasshi using "Idol Fan's Viewpoint" to create interesting setlist using the Budokan concert as an example. I found the Chinese translated version but I could never find the original.
