Welcome. You'll read very very few negative remarks about Sasshi here. You are surrounded by big fans of hers when you come on this thread.

I mean popularity from media (annual income, total appear in television, etc), not from stage48 forum ranking.

 

The reality in Stage48 is very different from the reality in Japan. These polls are only interesting to know the preferences of the international fans, not even that, of Stage48's most active members only -- some hundred people, incomparable with the general public in Japan or even with the amount of 48 fans there. And not everyone participate in these polls. (I particularly never took part.)

 

Yeah, I see a lot of user who's listed sashihara rino as their oshimen but barely active in s48.
And I also never participate in those polls.

My short answer to your question is definitely: "Yes, and Yes."

Guess this 87th is a bit more important than a 103rd in stage48.

87th on most famous Japanese individual (including politicians, celebrities, athletes ..)

1436 of 2000 individuals interviewed on street recognized Sasshi's photo and called her name correctly. The only one in 48G in top 100. (Actually the only idol)



Also, according to the most trustworthy showbiz poll, Nikkei showbiz Index (poll 4 times a year, avg sample 4400), in 2017, 87% of Japanese people know who Sasshi is, and among them, her favorable rating is at 61%. After combination she ranks 1st in all Japanese idols with a large margin.

(*) AkiP said similar thing lately. when Hayashi Mariko asked him before Enjin 01 what panelists Sasshi is compatible with, Yasusu answered that she will match conversation with anyone.
