What a far cry from Fuuchans previous sales. Great for her, and I'm sure some of it's the effect of being in such close proximity to Nerus magic.

Fans are idiots?
She's also pretty quiet and I think she has yet to find a way to make people to see her talents. Which is a shame.
Lately Memi and her share SRs and they are quite good together, they fit well with each other.

Problem is, Hiragana have many girls who stood out since the start. Some of them are growing and showing good things and then there's 2nd gen, who seems likely to eat people like Manafi for breakfast...

I hope she'll be one of those idols who suddenly step from last spot to first row - so to speak - but with more people joining both Kanji and Hiragana it's hard...

 

If we could figure out the whys and hows of idol popularity we would all become very rich as idol group producers. Some things just don't make sense though. Some girls are just destined to not be popular. I dunno.

The only thing I can think of specifically for Manafi, and this also holds true for Nijika, is that she very rarely looks happy in pictures. Especially her blog pictures. Ironically she looks ecstatic in the graduation pictures she just posted earlier on her blog which made me stop and read her blog when I usually scroll through it.

 

The thing is, people might attend a handshake event then decide whether to come again or not from those experiences.

Is it good? Is she boring? How good was her reaction? Am i satisfied? Is it worth the time and money?

Members like Zuumin are very good at it, which is why people are always coming back (and them always selling out)

As us here are getting confused to why Manafi and Mao are not selling as well as everyone else, maybe the "true experience" is different from what we thought

It confuses me, too, since I think she is so pretty. But she is also nervous and awkward. I even wonder if her four years in England up to middle school may have made her a bit out of step with her cohort back in Japan. She probably can't do the easy, formalized, fanservicey interactions handshake fans seem to prefer. She is at her best in her blog and on Showroom, I think. Here's her Showroom with Memi from just before Christmas, subbed.

 

i got a random theory.....members who spend few years oversea and they are really struggling in selling HS tickets like Nozawa Rena (AKB48 Team 4) and Hirata Rina (Ex-AKB48)
somehow they dont appeal to the fandoms .....

from the first time i see their appearance in keyakake, they looks promising honestly.

but when it comes to HS, maybe fans prefer member that can do service better, well that make sense. but just why man..
if i can go to HS , then i'll choose her lane for sure,
not my oshi tho
