Just wanted to make a little correction for "Yumiki-san stirs the pot of mass Valentine treats." The episode mentioned is actually #130 with Manatsu-san on trial. The linked episode 131 features Takayama Kazumi being put on trial for taking too many sweets.

Also posted this under the NUC thread but I'm 99.9% certain that the takoyaki party is an allusion to Okamoto's pancake mix incident. After rewatching it seems like it got cut (?), rightly so due to the its nature, because there is no way they would include it in the list only to talk about it for 30 seconds.

If you search the keywords ホットケーキミックス (and 乃木坂工事中 to narrow it down) on Twitter you'll see many people thinking the same.

 

I've asked this in several different locations, including in her own Ikeda Teresa thread, but does anyone have a video of Terepan singing Teressa '21? Her own version of Itō Marika-san Marika17. Seems it was only performed on the 23rd of November of 2023 at their Day 1 Live show on Theater Milano-Za.

Hayashi-san is studying film-making at university. On her blog (not translated), she cited Itō Shūto-san, 1 of the directors of Nogizaka46 meets Asia! & director of M.V.s including Hakumai-sama, Sora Tobira, Anastasia, Sa~yu~Ready?, Boku ga Te wo Tataku Hou e, & Ohitorisama Tengoku, as an influence. In that same blog post, she stated that she wants to shoot a Nogizaka M.V. & her own individual P.V.

One of Nogizaka’s best-ever members, Etō Misa-san, features in this behind-the-scenes look, as she’s both 1 of Mukai-san’s admired senpai, & married to Saitama Seibu Lions star Genda Sōsuke-san. The couple, by the way, recently welcomed their 2nd child. They actually met on the job, when Etō-san was a guest host on a baseball programme for which she interviewed Genda-san. Some will remember him as the man entrusted with the play that sealed the baseball gold medal at the 2021 Summer Olympics.

4. Nogizaka46 Mukai-san’s Oshi, Player Okada Makes a Surpise Appearance! (not subtitled)

If you do watch the above Haishinchū video, this is a sweet addition from Saitama Lions’ own YouTube channel. Okada-san has recently undergone surgery, so he’s not on-field for her pitch.

Are units on a comeback?
Shitara-san mentioned that we used to have a lot of personal sub-groups within the group, while now, we only have units created for work (eg. in the new episode, Yoda-san mentioned her Zabunzazabun unit with Tsutsui-san). The old corps, or gundan, were pivotal in bridging gaps between individual members & generations, often even bearing new jobs for members. They haven't disappeared entirely within Nogizaka46. They're just not particularly active, as the only 2 remaining are Wakasama Gundan (Yoda-san, Umezawa-san, & Yamashita-san, led by Wakatsuki Yumi-san) & Tulip (only Himura-san remains). The leaders or cores of both gundan are gone, so they tend to fade into the background most of the time. The graduates keep them going outside of Nogizaka, though!

Here's a brief history of various Nogizaka Gundan:
1. Nogizaka46's 7th Single Senbatsu Join Kishidan-san.
Nogizaka perform One Night Carnival with the original artists. This will lead to...

2. Nogidan Rock Nogizaka46's 3rd Year Birthday Live.
Nōjo Ami-san, Fukagawa Mai-san, Nakamoto Himeka-san, Nakada Kana-san, Nagashima Seira-san, & Saitō Asuka-san unite to form a Kishidan cover band. They'll perform multiple times, primarily One Night Carnival, both on T.V. & at concerts. If you recognise the song, that may be because it's the flagship music of the Gokisei's Chibajin, most prominently featured on Shin/Chō Star Tanjō.

Saitō Asuka-san learns to play drums to perform One Night Carnival with Nogidan, then continues playing to today. She continues to credit Kishidan-san & Nogidan, even on her T.V. series Hamasuka Hōsōbu. The drummer image & skill eventually encourages a young fan, Ogawa Aya-san, to follow in her oshimen's footsteps. Ogawa-san loves the gap between the cool girl & cute girl within Saitō Asuka-san, & sees drumming as both a great skill & an opportunity to go beyond her adorableness. Umezawa-san & Ichinose-san vehemently protest her ever leaving that zone.

3. Kōjichū #42-43: Nogizaka Valentine 2016 Give Presents to the Ikkisei (#42 hard-subtitled, #43 hard)

The greatest of all, Sayuringo Gundan, publicly debut.

This is also the episode featuring the infamous call between Ōzono Momoko-san & her mother, with possibly the biggest twist in Nogizaka history. It starts at timestamp 20:42.

Spoiler: Kanagawa Saya-san Withdraws from the 12th Birthday Live.

Kanagawa Saya-san announced that she's withdrawn from the 12th Birthday Live (7-10 March) for physical health reasons. In any way that you can, please support her. She only returned from a 2-month hiatus in January.

Kanagawa-san has otherwise continued normal activities, & is active on her blog & social media, so it's expected that she'll still participate on the 35th single.

In much better news, Ikkisei Nakamoto Himeka-san announced that she has married a non-celebrity man! She graduated primarily for mental illness reasons, as she was diagnosed with adjustment disorder shortly after joining Nogizaka46. Nakamoto-san really shone, despite her struggles, so I'm sure that it's been encouraging that her younger sister, Nakamoto Suzuka-san, is a successful idol with Babymetal. The older Nakamoto-san has continued to be a blessing to the public, as a mental health counsellor. She's actually still signed with NogizakaLLC, for public appearances in that capacity.

Speaking as someone who's also mentally ill (depression disorder), I'm so delighted that Nakamoto Himeka-san is getting some of the return rewards that she deserves. She's an immense example of the best of our worldwide family, a constant beam within her own darkness.
