Let's get SKE to the top, last year all three teams came in the top 5, can they get themselves to the top 3? Probably not because you know... Team 8 are like... well...

At least we'll have more teams participating but only 1 team will get the prize whatever it may be.

    Probably, as bench-warmer/substitute.
That leave SKE/NGT KKS in strange spot of not belonging to certain team. (but actually could participate as independent team given their numbers.)

And Team TII. Bare minimum requirement. lol.

Personally, to make it a bit more fair, they should break up Team 8 into 2 to 3 teams.

I love sports festival but as someone who is quite athletic, it can be so hard to watch haha.... Not because the girls are amateurs but because so many of them don't actually try because they'd rather look cute. I'm not even calling Sakura out here with her gimmick, it seems there are tons of girls who just seem to think it's more 'ladylike'? Idk... To be very bad at sports. Then when one girl does something slightly above average, everyone acts impressed lol.
I know it's really just a show, it's barely a real competition, so this year I'm going to go into it just trying to enjoy the spectacle and not worry about it.

You can split it by region, like north and south. Actually, I don't mind they just field their best member (in sport) for Team 8A and the rest in Team 8B, but I feel that it wouldn't be really fair for the B team, thus splitting it by region is probably the better solution.

Well NGT only have 1 team so i don't think it would be a problem (i'm guessing Mihachan would sub for Yukirin as usual)

Can't wait for TII to slay lol

Sincs SNH is no longer considered by AKS, maybe they could invite JKT because they won't create an awkward situation by inviting them but not SNH (i suspect it's the same reason why JKT stopped participating in AKB events, coz JKT stopped participating in AKB events around the same time as when SNH started to fully operate)

I actually kinda agree to this, yes team 8 as a whole is strong and splitting them might lessen their chance of winning. However, at the same time having too many members really hurt their screentime as some if not more of the members couldn't actually participate in the event, if the team is divided, then it is guaranteed that all of them get a chance to participate. So yeah The more team 8 the better

as for region splitting usually the 3 team consists of Hokkaido-Tohoku with Kanto, Chubu with Kansai, Chugoku-shikoku with Kyushu.

slightly OT but did Team 8 ever get what they won from the last AKB Undokai??

Hoping for Team S to win but team 8 will surely be the one to beat,,

Agh, I was hoping for another draft rather than another sportsfest as the "holdover event" between ssk and janken. I guess it's just too easy to do a sportsfest any old time they want. Well, they are pretty fun as long as no one acts completely shamelessly ridiculous (I'm looking at you Miki and Sakura).
