Your welcome, but it's only a funny coincidence, because luckyone had just asked about that video in the 'Q & A' thread... ;)

Bro-fists all around for another Live performance on the Tunnel's special tonight.

Of course they had some backup... it was fun to have Takeda Shinji on the sax while they were playing.

^ Are you talking about this performance:

I didn't like the alternative arrangement. Its not because there are strange men playing with my AKB48, but because the bass and sax lines are just bad and do not fit in with the song as well. Its a shame as the rolling bass and strong brass lines are normally the highlights of Give Me Five.

There was also an Everyday, Kachuusa performance and a talk segment from the same show which I've hidden after the spoiler:

Agree. Besides, there are too many instruments being played simultaneously... [shake]

    I thought it was good.

Usually the drummer feeds off the bass and vice versa and I think Yukirin has never been tighter than this, keeping everyone on good time keeping everyone in a tight performance. I thought the bass line was intelligent and nice to follow along to and the sax was trying it's best to exercise restraint. Seriously, a tight perf, it's good imo.

only on an akb48 message board will you find people complaining about the professional concert saxophonist and bassist in a "band" where everyone else has 5 months of experience... :fp:

on the plus side, takamina's solos are improving. it's really amazing when you think about it.

Takeda Shinji is an incredible jazz saxophonist. He's Shin Domoto Kyodai's regular sax player, as well an original Mecha-Ike member and the 2nd Junon Superboy Contest Grand Champion. I personally loved the take he put on Give Me Five! as well as his other improvisations that he does on songs. I think it's good for AKB to be even recognized by legit musicians such as these people and a tribute to their hardwork to be even allowed to perform with professionals.

    And it sounded great.

Well, I guess nobody here is complaining about them, but about the way their performance was mixed with the rest...

It's up on H!O here and the whole three videos here :)

Its not the professionals I disliked, it was their arrangements. I really like the bass and brass arrangements in the original GM5, they are one of the strongest points. Plus, Yuko is my original Oshimen, and has been playing bass guitar much longer than 5 months ;)

Live performance on the Tunnel's special

i never see yukirin tighter than before,
    but the amazing is
the bass really dominating, more he improvise the actual key,
and takeda shinji is genius, he really can cover up the lacks of trumpet n trombone n adding something new, when i saw him talk at tv really bad like takamina chara, but when perform on stage really look so cool.

that day akb was helped by this 2 genius fellas.

just browsing through youku and stumbled upon this. Hope this was not posted already. But I think, their version is better than the AKB groups. Haha. Kumin on Rhythm, Yukiko on Lead. Epic!! :D

I know that there is even a team H version (from HKT). If a video exists, I would be very interested to see it.

I think, that is quite difficult to acquire. We don't even have Live on Demand for NMB yet. But if they do release it in dvd, that would be great.
