^ Such a great pic! Everybody just looks so great with minimal eye makeup/tourist mode... they sent an awesome lineup to NYC IMO.

 

In case some of you are wondering what the stage area looks like I posted some pictures.



To give you an idea what the event is like check out the Koisuru dance they did for Japan day last year. It looks extremely packed. I might have to go earlier than I planned for seats.

There's no seats, at least I don't think there are. Last year I don't remember any. People just stand there and watch for a bit and walk away -- there are other things going on besides performances, there are some food and activity booths, plus some people just hang out and have a picnic and stuff. It's not terribly difficult to get close-ish to the stage, at least to be able to see. Even though I doubt any guests were as... hyped at AKB is, I still don't think it'll be that tough to get somewhat close and see. Unless you want to be in the first row then it's not worth standing in the crowd by the stage for the whole day, just come to that area maybe 30-40 minutes early for AKB.

 

I'll be at the stage all day with a white hatsune miku shirt and black jacket (and a Sahoo fan). Come say hi if you want

 

I'm heading there in an hour or so. Probably will get food first, then see how the crowd is. I'll be wearing a white Japan Festival Boston shirt (if I don't get beat up by Yankee fans).

It's soooo hot here, the crowd suddenly got jam packed lol maybe I underestimated this year's turnout!

I'm just sitting here on the ground because no seats but I'm sick and weak sooo not much choice if I wanna stay up front here. Well it's my 2nd time seeing AKB live and also it's been free twice (saw them in DC) so I guess I really don't have a right to complain... lol

If anyone is just arriving... Good luck getting to the front. And not dying of the heat. lol
